Personal: Happy Challenge week #5

happy challenge fashion personal lifestyle blog sarandipity dutch saranda blogger

Hi everyone,

Today’s Happy Challenge is pretty short but powerful at the same time. This weeks theme: “Just DO it!” And so I am busy with doing the things I mentioned in last weeks Happy Challenge update.

Right now I am super busy getting a more healthy lifestyle, hitting the gym is getting part of my weekly routine (I am going three times a week) and I try to drink more water. I do still snack too much though, but I am just not ready to give up chocolate and other sweets haha. With this new more healthy lifestyle I try to cut some crap like social media, I still love being out there, online, but I am trying to do less useless refreshing haha. I want to spend my time doing more things which I love and less things that are useless. Facebook isn’t useless at all if you ask me, since it’s also part of my job and my blog, BUT my ‘infobesitas’ sometimes is. I still have a lot of work to do by the way, I am definitely not yet in a place where I can control my need to hit refresh…

I am also really busy with figuring out what I really want to do. Actually, I am thinking about it almost 24/7. Guess I have a lot of things to figure out concerning my career.

The other thing I wanted more of was positivity, and although this is hard for me since I can be super pessimistic sometimes, I think I am heading into the right direction with this.

Last but not least I am working on being able to let go. As a control freak it is so hard to just let things be. I did let one thing go, my work as community officer for #metzonderwerk. Though it’s weird to just leave this behind I did a pretty go job making sure there is a new team to continue this community. I am now piece by piece, bit by bit, trying to close the chapter. I am deleting myself from shared folders and stuff. For me it feels like a relief, not having to think about that anymore.

Now it’s time to figure out what things I want to spend most of my time on! 🙂
I am getting there, I feel it: here’s a bit of that positivity hihi!

happiness happy challenge sarandipity change
Hi there!

Today I want to talk to you about the fourth Happy Challenge assignment. This one is all bout the things I want to change in my life and why. The challenge this week is to find 3 things I want to change and with that 3 things you would want to give up for that.

The thing is that you need to make space, time and energy for the things that you do want in your life and you need to leave the things that only take up space, time and energy behind.

Well let’s see what I want to change 🙂 Read one for the full blogpost.

Hi there,

Time for part three of the Happy Challenge. This time it is all about making your dreams and wishes visual. With this challenge I decided to focus on what my dreams and goals are right now and a little bit for the future but not for my whole life. I guess I like changes and therefore nothing is determined yet as where I will eventually end up haha.

So let’s make it visual!

My SATC dreams 😉

Good morning lovely followers,

Today it’s time for the second happy challenge assignment. This one is all about dreaming and figuring out what your dream is or what your dreams are. For me one of my biggest dreams is to make a living out of what I love most. Fashion and writing. I once said during the course of fashion journalism that I would love to work for the Italian VOGUE. Hey, they say you should dream big, right?!

In a workshop during the event I organized for my job I learned that I love to share. Sharing my knowledge, passion and inspiration in a lot of different ways gives me joy. For example by blogging and writing, but also by giving workshops.

To me being able to write about my passions for a living would be one of the best things that could happen to me. It would also be something that would really match my personality, passions and values.

Of course their are some things that are in the way. For example I should get more experience in writing, I need to learn Italian and so on. But this does not say that my dream is impossible! Audrey Hepburn once said: “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m possible.” And don’t worry, I would also settle for less than the Italian VOGUE haha.

Wednesday’s Pinspiration #5

Hi everyone,

It’s Pinspiration day again, so today I will share my latest Pinterest inspiration with you all. This Wednesday it is all about positive and happy quotes! From Steve Jobs (lower right) to Audrey Hepburn. Quotes like days are really the ones you should print out and hang on the wall so you can always see them. For sure you won’t forget the quotes that matter to you most if you do this! 🙂

These quotes from Pinterest are some of my most inspirational quotes. But I know another quote which I love as well. It’s from Andy Warhol, the famous Pop-art painter (from Campbells’soup for example). He once said in his philosophy book: “They say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.”

What I love about this quote is that it’s so accurate. You can’t blame time or other stuff when things change in a way you don’t like. When you take control of your own life and your own happiness it is YOU who needs to change things for the better.

Happy Wednesday lovely followers!
