A day in Amsterdam

Not a whole lot of words today my loves, as this is just a little post about my day in Amsterdam last weekend! I met up with Alexandra, who I don’t see that often as she has a fulltime job and I have my – pretty – fulltime study, for a day of (window)shopping and laughing!

You can trust me when I tell you that it was a lovely (although very cold) day in which we went to the PC Hoofdstraat, took some pictures at the Museumplein (where you currently have an ice-skating rink), did some shopping and had some McDonalds (I’m a sucker for fast food haha). Meanwhile, we had some clumsy moments and we laughed a lot! It is always so good to catch up with people you haven’t seen in a while! 🙂

Amsterdam: Private bloggers boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl

Hi there loves,

How was your weekend? Mine was good, the weather was surprisingly hot for here in the Netherlands and I got to enjoy a natural swimming pool close to home 🙂 I can’t even imagine the fact that last weekend I actually wore the outfit above to a private boat trip with two other blogging ladies.

It was going to be a day with chances of sunshine and chances of rain. Prepared for everything – I am used to this changeable weather – I hopped on a train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam where I was going to meet Danielle and Ellen for our boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl! We met at Hannekes Boom, a colourful lounge / cafe which was clearly a good hotspot, from where we would sail away 😉

There we also met Sander, our skipper and Bootuitjes host for the day. He had arranged a cute little barge boat with big lounge pillows and he also made sure we had enough to eat and drink. As soon as we all sat down in the boat it was time to discover Amsterdam from the water.

Hello loves!

Earlier I told you I met up with Alexandra in Amsterdam and that we shot this look in a lovely location. Today I want to share the other look I shot with Alexandra when we were in Amsterdam together! I bought this cute burgundy sheer peplum blouse from Scotch and Soda a while ago in the sale and I absolutely am loving this top!

It pretty much elevates this otherwise simple outfit… Don’t you think? To be honest I am kinda crushing on the Scotch and Soda collections for a couple of months now. I feel like their items are not on-trend, they also have a very distinctive style and the items are all of a very good quality!

Ciao dearies,

On Thursday the 12th I went to Amsterdam for an amazing blogger event. Unlimited PR invited me and a bunch of other amazing bloggers to join their UPRDigitalseeds SS2015 tour through Amsterdam and I could not say no to a fun and cool event like this!

In the early morning I was sitting in the train to Amsterdam with some amazing blogger babes like Helen from Beautyill, Femke from Younique, Anne from AnneSolveig and Dagmar from byDagmarValerie. I can tell you, starting a day with these lovely girls around you is amazing, I don’t know if an early morning can get any better!

Sunday Special: MBFWA – Tony Cohen

Hi dearies,

The first Sunday Special is all about Tony Cohen! Ever since my interest in fashion started growing and I got to know more designers, Tony Cohen has been one of my favorite Dutch designers!

Tony Cohen always shows gorgeous feminine designs. His designs are very well made and this designer really knows how to work with different fabrics. As an auto-didactic he taught himself how to design. Amazing right?! His strength is the way he shapes his designs in a way that it accentuates the most beautiful parts of the feminine body. Kim Feenstra once told me in a short interview that in his designs you will feel sexy, powerful and feminine. My guess is that she right then told me nothing but the truth. The designs sure look like it!

As usual I loved the show from Tony Cohen! Ever since my first visit to Amsterdam Fashion Week, a little more than a year ago, the fashion show of Tony Cohen has been my highlight of fashion week. A must see.
