Train of thoughts: My blog as a diary

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another train of thoughts where I am letting my thoughts take over control of my typing. See it as a form of rambling, but I’ll try to stay on topic!

Check out my previous train of thoughts about Pokémon Go if you are curious 😉

For today I want to talk to you about my view on my blog at the moment. From the beginning I think the main focus of my blog has always been fashion. But as I am growing older, yes I turned 26 last week, I want my blog to grow with me. I am getting more mature and I want my blog to mature as well. So at the moment I am thinking a bit about changing it up a little. To ensure that my blog can grow further.

Because sometimes, as a blogger with a main focus on fashion, I feel like you can only get really big if you have a lot of money to buy clothes. Or for example if you can borrow designer stuff at PR firms / friends / family etc. Let’s just be honest, I lost my job and will be unemployed starting November if I haven’t find my next challenge by then. So I just don’t have a lot of money to spend. And in my opinion, if you want to grow your blog, you really need to invest, at least a little. For example as a fashion blogger you need to be able to show nice on-trend outfits or at least, very diverse outfits. And as a beauty blogger you want to be able to review new products to create new make-up looks with.

My blog as a diary…

Therefore I am thinking that perhaps I need to transform my blog a little bit. At the moment I am just not able to share a new outfit every week and I also want to share more than just my love for fashion. Not only do I think sticking too much to fashion limits my blog a little bit, I also feel like I just have so much more to offer!

I would love to be able to share more personal stories, but it would also be great to share more magazine types of posts, posts where I can show of my writing skills. I always shared some more lifestyle related posts once in a while but I think I should share more of these. From posts about my latest travel adventures, inspiration posts, trend reports, must haves et cetera.

Basically I want my blog to become more ME, more Saranda. I am still working on the exact changes and how I want to do everything. But let me just assure you, it’s not all going to change! As mentioned earlier I just want Serendipity to evolve and to grow with me. What this means, hopefully, is that this blog will not only grow mature with me, but also with you as my readers… So please also let me know what you would like to see more of on the blog and I will keep it in my mind!

Let me hear your train of thoughts on this topic and stay tuned! 🙂

XO

Turning 26!

Hi babes! I am the birthday girl today and I already had such a nice day! Today I’m turning 26 and after a super fun morning with my blogger babe Taria-Ann I am currently doing some blog-work while getting ready for a little casual dinner with my boyfriend tonight!

Meanwhile my head is spinning and thoughts are running around like crazy. I am a year older now but I sometimes have mixed feelings. On one hand I feel like I grew and learned a lot, but on the other hand I am losing my job and still looking for my way and my career path in this life. Life is completely crazy sometimes but at the moment I truly feel like everything is going to work out the way it should. I am going to be fine and I am sure that someday pretty soon I’ll find the perfect next step, whether it be a job or I get this brilliant plan for my own company.

I’m going to find my way… and 26, is going to be my year!

Baci,
Saranda

I want to be your Friday night – Outfit post

sarandaadriana-van-haren-trend-high-profile9a

Happy Thursday babes,

Today I am not doing much, besides job-hunting, getting some e-mails out of the door – (a little bit of steenkolen English here ;)) and getting ready for the upcoming weekend.

My birthday is right around the corner and this weekend at a family reunion I will celebrate my birthday as well. I am pretty much looking forward to it and I’m already thinking what I should wear… I need something sporty for the activities during the reunion, but I want to look pretty afterwards!

For now, just casually sharing my latest outfit with you all! What do you think? Personally I think this is the perfect look for a Friday Night casually hanging with the girls… 🙂
I’m wearing a hat from French Connection, blouse by Garcia, oversized cardigan by Kings of Indigo (KOI), blue jeans by Selected Femme, high profile booties by Van Haren and studded bag by Noosa Amsterdam!

Hope you all will have a great day!

XO,
Saranda

#Welcome to the Django, 90’s girl on a 60’s ride

peugeot-django-90s-girl-on-a-60s-ride-outfit3

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Django!

At the moment I am the (temporary) proud owner of a gorgeous Peugeot Django Evasion, so epic! I was so excited about this campaign that I instantly started thinking of all the ways I could share my experience with my new ride! But before I continue, let me tell you a little story…

When I was 16 I bought my first scooter, school was ‘far’ away and I had the opportunity to get a second hand peugeot speed fight 2. It became my baby, my precious, and it took me everywhere! I even went to scooter meetings, with only guys 😉 It was my first vehicle, after a lot of bikes and I was so proud to be the owner! So when I had to sell it I was pretty sad. But, today is a good day! For a month I’m going to be the owner of a Peugeot Django!

Now let me introduce you to my new ride!

Baci,
Saranda

Falling into fall – Outfit post

Falling into fall

Sometimes, you find something precious… I love minimal jewellery most of the times, tiny silver earrings, a simple watch, a simple necklace and my customised silver ring. I do not wear a lot of jewellery, however sometimes the perfect jewels can finish an outfit!

“Larimar, the stone of Atlantis or the Dolphin stone”

For this outfit I needed a statement necklace of some sorts. And so I picked this gorgeous Larimar necklace to pair with this fall outfit. Larimar, or the stone of Atlantis, is a gorgeous bright blue precious stone. This pretty gemstone is only to be found at the Hispaniola Island in the Caribbean Sea in the Dominican Republic.

An eye-catching stone with a story, and it’s to be said that this sea blue stone has healing abilities. The Larimar stone should help people to relax, be more positive, get over fears, helps with stress-related diseases and disorders and more. I do not know how exactly to formulate it but when looking at the stone a sort of happiness radiates from the beauty of the stone. The blues and color differences look gorgeous and only looking at the stone will make you wonder about the beauty and the wonders of nature 🙂

What do you think of this look and the gorgeous Larimar.com necklace?

Baci,
Saranda
