Hi babes,

November flew by really fast. Can you believe that it is December already?! I just started working at my new job and already 3 weeks have past. I have done a lot of different things already and it’s amazing that I am learning new things again! When I noticed the time is ticking so fast I started thinking, winter is coming.

All this while I am still editing and having to post outfits that are perfect for fall but not at all suitable for the ice cold winter. Whoops. I really noticed that having an almost fulltime job gives me a lot of structure and security. But on the other hand I have no idea what happens to my free time haha. My first real weekend ended before I even had the chance to do something for myself or the blog and the same goes for my evenings. I figured that a good planning is everything when combining a job, a blog and a social life haha. So that is actually what I am doing right now, figuring out how to combine everything in a way that I’ll still have me-time as well! I feel like it is already going a bit better with managing my time 🙂

Another thing that is unfortunately keeping my busy is my health… It started about a month ago, my cluster period. The period in which I am having a sort of tension headache everyday and immense “shoot me” headache attacks once every two days. In the former years it also was waved away a bit but this year I went to the doctors again. I just started with trying out imigran nosesprays and had two acupuncture meetings so far. I feel like it does help a bit so far but I am a bit sceptical and I don’t want to get to hopeful yet. Should you have any tips or tricks for me to deal with my headaches please let me know…

Winter is coming

So with December here and winter on it’s way I’m very much looking forward to the holidays and to New Years Eve! I also can’t wait for 2017, after years where I am telling myself it’s going to be my year, this year I am absolutely sure it’s going to be my year! I love my career, the blog is going pretty good and I am in such a good please. It sometimes feels to good to be true and I feel so blessed!

Saturday night drinks: INK Hotel cocktail challenge

Hello loves,

With the cold wind outside it’s the perfect moment to tell you about a cocktail challenge I had a while ago! In collaboration with INK hotel Amsterdam and their bar Pressroom Amsterdam (which is located in a very old former printing office) I took on the big challenge to create the perfect fall / winter cocktail. The task? Using a secret wintery ingredient. Well I’ll just be honest, my mind instantly screamed: APPLE PIE! And so here it is, my cocktail, the DiSaranda Originale, a Disaronno Apple Pie cocktail.

First step when you are creating your own cocktail? Figuring out which liquors go well together and how you want your cocktail to look and taste. So I went on a little inspiration trip through google, my cocktail books and my liquor collection.

Before I’ll start I am going to be completely honest with you. I don’t drink a lot and I don’t drink often but I always love a good cocktail, or 2, or 3. Having a drink is no problem and it can be the best thing sometimes to just kick back and enjoy a good glass of wine or a cocktail. However, always drink responsible and if you ever feel like you might have a drinking problem, talk to someone and get help.

Get holiday ready 3 Tobi outfits

Hi loves,

The holidays are coming up, it will be Thanksgiving this Thursday and therefore I thought it was about time to show you some of my favourite winter dresses and outfits for the holiday season! From a little black dress with sexy neckline, the swift dress and a co-ord with metallic all-over!

I received three stunning looks from the American webshop Tobi* and I loved shooting them! With this dresses you are absolutely ready for the holidays!

First up is the mauve swiftdress with lace-up detail, a dress that made me spin and twirl whilst we were shooting. This dress is so feminine and absolutely girly but with a sexy detail! You can get the dress here*

A checkered past – Outfit post

A checkered past…

A past where you have done various things, have had ups and downs, successes and failures. I have been all over the place sometimes, mainly with my interests haha. But at one point somewhere, a couple of months ago, things started falling into place. Bit by bit I was finding out what was going to be – what is – my THING. Slowly all of those bits and pieces from the past fell together like pieces to a puzzle.

They were still very diverse on itself. But combined, they were one bigger picture. A picture I did not see before, but now I do! It all is coming together right now and it makes me absolutely happy! To be honest, I think it has been a while since I have been this happy… I’ll tell you more about it very soon 🙂

For now let me just show you my checkered outfit of the day, where I am wearing a checkered gingham blouse by SheIn* or similar, faux leather leggings (similar), a leather backpack (similar) and my all-time favourite Adidas Stan Smith sneakers!

Hi ya’ll!

Good morning, today is the second day at my new job. Let me tell you, yesterday I was not only super excited and curious, I was also pretty nervous. So far I have never had a real ‘grown-up’ job so for me it’s a pretty big deal… I will be working 36 hours a week, 4.5 days, for the next couple of months, at least until the end of the year, with the opportunity to stay longer if both parties are happy.

I’m just going to go for it with an open mind, my very Saranda-ish enthusiasm and my drive to be the best at what I do. I can’t wait to learn and to grow! 🙂
