– or to clear my head, besides blogging of course 😉
Wow it has been a while, have I already told you that I sometimes seem to suck at blogging?! 😉
Well I am back, again! And I gathered a whole bunch of content to share with you, so I’ll guess that I will stick around a bit longer this time haha.
First up I want to start with sharing my top 5 favorite things to do to relax. I suck at relaxing I can tell you that, this girl right here is one big stress head, no joke. So all this time I did not blog and write, I was stressing about not blogging haha. Why don’t you just blog than?! Good question.
Okay here we go. My top 5 favorite things to do to relax, which our 5 things that are desperately needed!
At the moment I am really busy trying to live a more healthier, happier and more balanced life. Not really something that you just, from one day to another will be able to change. It takes a bit more time and I think a lot of determination but with the things I am changing at the moment I am sure to reach my living happier & healthier goals! 🙂 Here is my little, personal guide to changing your lifestyle, with just some tips and things I am doing myself at this moment…
As most things are going really well at this moment I am trying to make the most out of my free time by changing my whole lifestyle in a positive way. That whenever something happens sometime I am in a good / positive state of mind, feeling strong, happy and healthy. So that a possible curve ball will not be able to mess up the things I am building and things I am working towards! Normally I am pretty positive, I trust in the goodness of the world and I trust in mankind. But with some things that have happened the last 2 years I kinda got thrown out of my own balance. The balanced that made everything work pretty well for me.
And that is exactly what I am trying to find back, my balance both physical and psychological. But for now let me focus on the happier / healthier changes I am already adapting into my current lifestyle!
If you have any tips on finding back my balance, please let me know 🙂
It’s mother’s day today and therefore I would like to tell you all something about my mom. Or maybe something about how I love my mom and how I adore her! An ode to my mom…. As you can read in the quote above (from Carly Fiorina) my mom taught me about inspiration and courage. At the moment of writing this blog my mom is actually living one of her dreams, travelling through Peru for a good cause.
My mom stayed at home for a long time of me and my brother’s childhood and was always there. When we grew older she had the opportunity to start working again in something which she loved. She began her career and grew up to do more at the school she works at and she started working more hours. I think it gave her a bunch of new self-esteem and I saw how much she enjoys her work. So much that sometimes when she is suffering from migraines she still tries to go to work.
Today in Holland it’s Liberation day, a day in which we celebrate how we won back our freedom as a country after the second world war. Probably non of my readers have lived through this war but you might have been in contact with other wars or struggles your country has been in. Today I am extra grateful for the freedom given to us by our great-grandparents and everything who fought for freedom during this horrible war. I hope that, who you are, wherever you are, that you are free and that you may enjoy your freedom. That you have freedom of speech, freedom of your thoughts, religion and lifestyle. If you are not, I pray for you to receive the freedom you deserve <3
Now about my look. It’s not rebellious, it has not much to do with freedom except for the freedom to express myself…
A denim on denim outfit this time. A denim jacket with a meaning, my own made up term Sarandipity (Serendipity + Saranda) a koi carp and a lotus flower. The meaning of these symbols together: “Lotus flowers are commonly depicted in tattoos. These flowers grow in a muddy pond but develop into a beautiful flower which is much loved. The lotus is often paired with a koi which can take on a variety of meanings. This tattoo may represent purity, struggle or a change in life. The lotus with the koi may also represent struggle, determination or inevitable success.” Quote
In this outfit I am wearing my personalized denim jacket by Pepe Jeans, a white blouse from H&M with underneath it a blue t-shirt bra from Victoria’s Secret, denim jeans from WE Fashion, bag from VANS and chelsea boots from ASOS.
What do you think of this denim on denim outfit?! Let me know in a comment 🙂
May is here and I have a pretty big to do list and a list with goals for this month. So today I want to share my ‘To do in May’ with you all! I have a lot of things I am planning to do and I hope that by sharing this list with you all I have an extra push to really do the things I have on my To do list!
In March I submitted my blog to the chamber of commerce. Because I wanted to do more with all the things I have learned from having my own blog / little online magazine for which I do everything myself (except for making photos of myself ;)). So in this month I want to do more with the fact that my blog is my own business. I already have two companies which whom I will be working together. For one company (BL’QE Geneve) I will be doing sales and for another company (within 3D printed jewelry) I will do various things. Good things are coming! 🙂
Besides work and my own business I would also like to learn new things starting from this month. I am going to pick up my Italian language learning again and I hope to do some online courses within marketing, SEO and journalism.
Read on for the other things on my ‘To do in May’ list!
