A day in Amsterdam

a day in amsterdam museumplein sarandaadriana alexandraCiao dearies,

Not a whole lot of words today my loves, as this is just a little post about my day in Amsterdam last weekend! I met up with Alexandra, who I don’t see that often as she has a fulltime job and I have my – pretty – fulltime study, for a day of (window)shopping and laughing!

You can trust me when I tell you that it was a lovely (although very cold) day in which we went to the PC Hoofdstraat, took some pictures at the Museumplein (where you currently have an ice-skating rink), did some shopping and had some McDonalds (I’m a sucker for fast food haha). Meanwhile, we had some clumsy moments and we laughed a lot! It is always so good to catch up with people you haven’t seen in a while! 🙂

Today I just want to share some of the pictures we took as they turned out so well!! Let me know what you think of these photos!

Amsterdam: Private bloggers boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl

Bootuitje amsterdam boottochtje sloep amsterdamse grachten amstel varen

Hi there loves,

How was your weekend? Mine was good, the weather was surprisingly hot for here in the Netherlands and I got to enjoy a natural swimming pool close to home 🙂 I can’t even imagine the fact that last weekend I actually wore the outfit above to a private boat trip with two other blogging ladies.

It was going to be a day with chances of sunshine and chances of rain. Prepared for everything – I am used to this changeable weather – I hopped on a train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam where I was going to meet Danielle and Ellen for our boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl! We met at Hannekes Boom, a colourful lounge / cafe which was clearly a good hotspot, from where we would sail away 😉

There we also met Sander, our skipper and Bootuitjes host for the day. He had arranged a cute little barge boat with big lounge pillows and he also made sure we had enough to eat and drink. As soon as we all sat down in the boat it was time to discover Amsterdam from the water.

Baci,

Travel: Citizen M Tower of London

citizen m tower of london hotel travel sarandaadriana

Joehoe!

Here I am again, this time with another travel post about my trip to London. As you might have read before I went to London in January and stayed in the Mandeville but also in the lovely Citizen M Tower of London hotel! And today I want to tell you all a bit more about this amazing hotel.

I already stayed in a Citizen M hotel earlier last year when my boyfriend and I were invited to go to the International Film Festival in Rotterdam and we loved our stay there so much, that we almost were late to the movie – whoops! But now it was time for our do-over, and after we had a huge delay to start our trip, we were so happy when we touched base at the Citizen M Tower of London hotel. Time to relax a little bit before going into the city… 🙂

As we experienced earlier in Rotterdam, the Citizen M hotels have a very clear concept which is all about comfort! All of their rooms are super modern, have a huge kingsize bed, an iPad to control the TV / Alarm / Lights and more and a rain shower to take long romantic showers together – or a thorough shower session on your own of course 😉 We had the luck to be able to stay in a room with a gorgeous view on Tower Hill and after a good sleep we enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet!

Let’s just say we had an amazing stay and that we basically can’t wait to stay at Citizen M at our next destination! Hell, we even looked to see if we could buy a Citizen M bed – which by the way, you can, if you live in the UK… Guess we’ll just have to wait and book a night at Citizen M again soon! 🙂

For now, I am going to let the photo’s do the talking. Thanks to Citizen M Tower of London for the hospitality! 🙂

Baci,
Saranda

Travel Thursday: the Mandeville hotel London

the mandeville hotel london french riviera christian lacroix room9

Hi loves,

As you all know I have been to London a couple of weeks ago and although the trip didn’t all go as planned we had a lot of fun and absolutely enjoyed our trip! Let me tell you, the hotels we stayed in; the Mandeville and CitizenM did help an awful lot!

For one night we stayed in the gorgeous Mandeville hotel in the Marylebone area in London. Not only is this 4-star boutique hotel perfectly situated, read: near the shopping area ;), the hotel also has a great eye for design. For the 5th floor the Mandeville collaborated with La Maison Christian Lacroix which resulted in 4 absolutely fabulous rooms inspired by the French Riviera.

Lucky as we were we got to stay in one of the gorgeous Christian Lacroix rooms: the Midnight Blue room. Check it out! 😀
