A day in Amsterdam

a day in amsterdam museumplein sarandaadriana alexandraCiao dearies,

Not a whole lot of words today my loves, as this is just a little post about my day in Amsterdam last weekend! I met up with Alexandra, who I don’t see that often as she has a fulltime job and I have my – pretty – fulltime study, for a day of (window)shopping and laughing!

You can trust me when I tell you that it was a lovely (although very cold) day in which we went to the PC Hoofdstraat, took some pictures at the Museumplein (where you currently have an ice-skating rink), did some shopping and had some McDonalds (I’m a sucker for fast food haha). Meanwhile, we had some clumsy moments and we laughed a lot! It is always so good to catch up with people you haven’t seen in a while! 🙂

Today I just want to share some of the pictures we took as they turned out so well!! Let me know what you think of these photos!

Leaping into 2018: I am ready!

SarandaAdriana 2018 resolutions tilburg university

Ciao dearies,

It’s the final day of 2017 and 2018 will be here tomorrow! Last year has flown by pretty fast and has had some beautiful moments. I went on an amazing trip to Vienna with one of my best friends, I went on a lovely trip to Lisbon with my mom (where we met up with Achya and had an amazing day in Sintra) and I started college again (you can read more about that in yesterday’s blog post)! I have developed some professional skills and have definitely grown as a person… All in all, I have had a good year!

But, I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for me and I have some ‘new years resolutions’ to make 2018 yet another amazing year!

Here is my little list of “resolutions” or better yet: good intentions 🙂

  • Lead an Instagrammable life, but not doing things specifically for the ‘gram. Meaning that I am going to live life to the fullest, do more fun stuff, document more things by taking photos etc. but not doing things differently because it makes for a better feed or whatever. In other words, I am going to stay closer to myself.
  • Spend more time off-line (mostly meaning: less useless scrolling, less reading of negative news, less comparing to other people)
  • Spend more quality time with family and friends
  • Read more books, one book a month at least
  • Write more, more blogs/diary entries
  • Trust my own gut and go with it
  • Be more positive, worry less
  • Being more mindful
  • Learn new skills
  • Travel more

I hope you all have an amazing New Years Eve and I will see you in 2018!
Happy new year!!

Love,
Saranda

Back to college at 27… My experience

SarandaAdriana going back to college Tilburg University

Ciao dearies,

Long time no see 🙂 Over the last ‘half year’ or better yet, semester I have been incredibly busy. As some of you might know I have always wanted to continue studying, and that is exactly what I did the last couple of months, I went back to college!

It was not the easiest decision to make but after some job interviews, I noticed that my mind was more directed towards going back to college and my heart was not fully into the jobs. Which was not because of the jobs themselves, as I definitely found some great opportunities. However, the right one for me was going back to college and going after that master’s degree!

Honestly, this decision might have been the best of my life… 🙂
Today I am telling you a bit more about my experience as a 27-year-old going back to college after 4 years of working.  Continue reading

Trying out new beauty products with Newpharma

beauty products via newpharma - galenic, louis widmer

Ciao my loves,

During the last couple of months, I have been extensively testing some new beauty products. Newpharma contacted me at the end of the summer if I was interested in receiving a surprise package full of beauty products based on my skin type, well heck yes! Ever since I have started using day and night creams I have not been able to find thé one for me. So I was very curious what products Newpharma would send me and if I would like these products!

Today I am going to tell you a bit more about my new favorites!

Baci,
Saranda

More chocolate please! Sponsored video

Godiva chocolate
Hands up if you love chocolate! Well, who doesn’t love chocolate? Even though I am a wannabe fit girl – I work my ass of in the gym about four week days in the week and I try to eat healthy – I can’t say no to chocolate!

Chocolate is a guilty pleasure for many people so I say, more chocolate please!

Lucky for us Dutchies, there is a new chocolate brand coming to town! Godiva is a Belgian chocolatier brand selling premium Belgian chocolates, chocolate bars and pralines ever since 1926. Their first store outside of Belgian opened in 1958 in the heart of romantic Paris on the Rue Saint Honoré.

For over 90 years, the Godiva Chef Chocolatiers have been making the most amazing chocolate creations for Godiva boutiques in the whole world. And now they will finally be for sale in the Netherlands in the Albert Heijn!

Baci,
Saranda
