As a girl who just turned 25 I am really ambitious and I want to do a lot of different things. My blog being a company and making it a success is one of those things but besides I have a lot of other dreams as well. Being the ambitious girl I can get jealous of the corporate office outfits of some woman. So when I got in touch with Duifhuizen tassen en koffers (Duifhuizen bags and suitcases) to do something with the theme ‘Not my boyfriends business’ I already had the perfect outfit and bag in mind. A business outfit with a feminine and fun twist. Today I am showing you my view on business style outfits for women and I really hope you like it!

For this outfit I decided to dress up in a colorful suit from House of Dagmar and to finish it with a fancy multi-purpose bag like this one from Michael Kors, the shopper. Perfect for a day at the office, as you can see in this outfit. But also great for bringing your camera with you while on a city trip. This bag is perfection in my eyes. Although I really still need a black bag I picked this one in brown. Together with the golden details it looked more stylish and classy than the combination of black and gold.

The best thing of this bag? It fits my camera, iPad, phone, wireless charger and of course my sunglasses, wallet, make-up and keys! I love it! A fun story about this bag, while in Milan I wore this exact outfit and I met a fellow blogger who was wearing a Michael Kors bag as well. Together we got some pretty good attention from the street style photographers! Now let’s hope the photos will pop up somewhere so I can share this moment with you, I bet it looked really cool with both of us wearing a Michael Kors bag 😀

B/W – outfit post

A couple of weeks ago I told you about the #eccosoft7 blogger event and the fact that I won a pair of Ecco’s!

Today I want to show you some pictures of my B/W outfit that I wore to the event. The dress code was Black / White and so I immediately new that my hat and leather jacket should become part of my OOTD. I wanted a fierce, fun and classy look. With the hat and jacket I already had something fierce and something fun. So I wore a sheer white long blouse to add a little bit of class as well. Together with my faux leather leggings and my Nike secret wedge sneakers the look was complete.

I felt so happy with my look while it was not over styled or something, it was actually pretty simple, right? But it was comfy and it totally represented my mood as well.

When Alex asked me if I wanted to shoot my look inside at the event I was thinking: ‘I have shown my readers 3 black and white outfits already and this one will be the fourth!’ But I think it was worth it! The daylight studio in Amsterdam had the perfect lighting and it was just the right location to shoot this B/W outfit! And so these pictures were taking!

I can’t tell you how happy I am that I did decide to shoot this outfit even though it was yet another B/W look 😉 The pictures turned out just perfect and I think this is one of my best B/W outfits so far! What do you think of this look?

Life is a beach – Outfit post

Ciao dearies,

Sometimes life is a beach! And in this OOTD shooting case, this was the beach of my dreams! A blue sky with pretty clouds, a blue-greenish sea with lots of waves, wind and gorgeous tanned sands <3

Last week I was on a short vacation to Texel one of the Dutch islands and the weather was mostly pretty bad. Therefore I tried to make use of all the dry moments which resulted in some windy outfit shooting with my boyfriend on the beach and in the dunes. I already wore this jumpsuit a lot but never was able to take pictures in the right setting. As I have felt that this jumpsuit needed a bit of an exotic / Ibiza feeling. Well here it is, life is a beach and the Dutch beaches can have that perfect Eivissa atmosphere if you find the right beach!

Like one of your French girls – Outfit post

Last weekend it was that time of the summer when fashion loving Dutchies gathered in Amsterdam for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam. Of course I could not let this edition pass by unnoticed so I went for 2 days and had a great time.

I went to Amsterdam Fashion Week for the opening night with shows from Aziz Bekkaoui, Judith van Vliet / Chris van den Elzen en de Haute Couture show from Monique Collignon. As it was the opening night, which sounds like a big deal to me, I decided to pull a style change and go for something high fashion but easy to wear and very French!

The statement items of this look, Culottes and the hat of course. But can you remember that one blog post I wrote about trends that I was a tat afraid of? Well I think I nailed it with the culottes this time, don’t you think so?!

At least the streetstyle photographers at MBFWA did! 😉 Feeling, looking and walking like on of your french girls felt amazing and it gave me a huge confidence boost!

Speaking of the culotte trend, I am definitely embracing this trend right now! I can’t wait to show you many more outfits with this item. I really love how the culottes make me feel super duper feminine and that you can style the culottes in a really chic sophisticated french way or casual with a sneaker or flat sandals! For this outfit I paired my culottes with a simple breton striped top (both H&M), a leather jacket from Oakwood, slingbacks and hat (also H&M) and my JoTotes camera bag.

Denim on Denim – Outfit post

Today in Holland it’s Liberation day, a day in which we celebrate how we won back our freedom as a country after the second world war. Probably non of my readers have lived through this war but you might have been in contact with other wars or struggles your country has been in. Today I am extra grateful for the freedom given to us by our great-grandparents and everything who fought for freedom during this horrible war. I hope that, who you are, wherever you are, that you are free and that you may enjoy your freedom. That you have freedom of speech, freedom of your thoughts, religion and lifestyle. If you are not, I pray for you to receive the freedom you deserve <3

Now about my look. It’s not rebellious, it has not much to do with freedom except for the freedom to express myself…

A denim on denim outfit this time. A denim jacket with a meaning, my own made up term Sarandipity (Serendipity + Saranda) a koi carp and a lotus flower. The meaning of these symbols together: “Lotus flowers are commonly depicted in tattoos. These flowers grow in a muddy pond but develop into a beautiful flower which is much loved. The lotus is often paired with a koi which can take on a variety of meanings. This tattoo may represent purity, struggle or a change in life. The lotus with the koi may also represent struggle, determination or inevitable success.” Quote

In this outfit I am wearing my personalized denim jacket by Pepe Jeans, a white blouse from H&M with underneath it a blue t-shirt bra from Victoria’s Secret, denim jeans from WE Fashion, bag from VANS and chelsea boots from ASOS.
