Valentine’s day breakfast with Hands Off My Chocolate

hands off my chocolate valentines day recipe yoghurt parfait

Happy Valentine’s Day babes!

As today is a day to do something extra for your significant other, or to just cook a lovely dinner together I decided to share something different with you. Let me start by saying I am a HUGE, truly HUGE chocolate lover so when I came in contact with Hands Off My Chocolate* a couple of years ago I was a fan! Every piece of chocolate has MINE written onto it with just one, yep one, piece which has yours written on it. Love it, more for me! #spreadthewordnotthechocolate! 😉

But for Valentine’s Day I am making an exception, well not really, you have to buy the chocolate for this recipe yourself! However, I’m sharing one of my favorite recipes at the moment in collaboration with Hands Off My Chocolate. My Crispy Cookie chocolate and strawberry yoghurt parfait! Read on for the full recipe 🙂

You need:
– 1/2 Hands Off My Chocolate bar Crispy Cookie caramel sea salt milk chocolate (you can just eat the other half while making the dish!)
– 3 Hands Off My Chocolate milk meets dark pieces
– 2 or 3 of your favourite chocolate cookies
– strawberries or other fruits of choice
– Greek yoghurt (I used 0% fat yoghurt)
– sprinkles
– skewer

The first step to creating this yummy desert is to mash your favourite chocolate cookies, this is going to be the bottom of your parfait. So after mashing your favorite chocolate cookies build the bottom and try to tamp it’s a bit so it’s a bit firm. Than fill the jar / cup you are using for your dessert with yoghurt so the glass is +- half full.

Now we layer our fruits on the yoghurt. I used Greek yoghurt which is a bit thicker and therefore a better product  to make pretty layers. For the fruity layer I picked strawberries. After the fruits slowly build up another layer of yoghurt until 3/4e of the glass. Something like this –>

The next step is to mash the pretty Hands Off My Chocolate Crispy Cookie pieces. We want the chocolate pieces to still be chunky but small enough so you can easily mix them through your yoghurt if you want. Now it’s time to decorate our pretty chocolate yoghurt parfait!

Put a couple of strawberries, 2 or 3 on a skewer and meanwhile melt the Milk meets Dark chocolate pieces. You can melt these in the microwave – BUT DON’T USE A TOO HIGH VOLTAGE (I think max 600W) – get the chocolate out of the microwave as soon as you think it’s melted enough. Now drizzle the melted chocolate over the strawberry skewer and when you are done put the sprinkles on the warm chocolate. Put the skewer in the fridge, just for a couple of minutes, and while waiting you can cut another strawberry or make a chocolate piece perfectly round by biting of the edges…. Or not, whatever you like 😉 Chocofesion: I did this with the one I made for myself. Yep!

Finalize your parfait by putting the strawberry skewer into the glass, place your half strawberry and place the MINE chocolate piece! And you are done!

What a stunning finished result, girl!! Woowww!! Btw, I can say no to lots of different desserts but I have one huge weakness – chocolate 🙂 The name of the company resonates with me too lol.

This is something similar that I’m planning to do at the weekend for my partner as a late valentine’s gift but with cake, edible cookie dough and brownies
