Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam Aziz Bekkaoui finale
Ciao loves,
Last month Amsterdam hosted the biggest events for the Dutch fashion world. It was time for Mercedes-Benz fashion week and the latter of the Dutch fashion scene, read: editors, fashionista’s, bloggers, famous Dutchies and models, went to the Westergasfabriek to enjoy and celebrate fashion. I was there as well, for two days, and I gathered some pictures of my favorite shows!
Here it is, a little bit later due to some personal stuff going on, my MBFWA favorites. My apologies.
Really hope you are going to like the photographs I made and I am curious to hear your opinions on the collections I am showing you today! Enjoy your Sunday 🙂

First op the collection of Aziz Bekkaoui! The collection of Aziz featured a lot of black, white, red, royal blue and orange. A patriotic feel with a big influence of the British flag and some Dutch orange detailing. I am a big fan of Great Britain so I did not mind the British influence at all. However some things I did not understand at all. For example what was up with the golden gloves and pants. To me that did not quiet connect and it felt a bit like Austin Powers lost his ‘Mojo’ and Aziz found it.
Think away the gold-member and I loved it! The whole show felt a bit like a Dutch version of Tommy Hilfiger’s stadium show a while back. From a sporty show with American football vibes Aziz turned his show into a sporty chic show with British and Dutch vibes.
What do you think of the looks of this show?!
Judith van Vliet & Chris van den Elzen suprised me with a very cool combination of fantasy fashion and amazing footwear! Inspired by creatures of the deep sea Judith and Chris showed their collection Dark Depths in collaboration with Vodafone Fashion LAB. The collection consisted of black dresses, pants tops and skirts. Every item had a special detail, think of a bright blue skirt with black detailing in the middle of a collection with a lot of black, or a sweater with a huge 3D ornament in pink/orange and turquoise!
Hair and make-up also really matched well with the overall collection and it looked really cool. A very nice, inspiring, collection!
Last but not least the show of Maria Clè Leal. Immagine sitting frontrow with Doutzen Kroes sitting frontrow on the other side of the runway, yeah this happened! At this show Doutzen was the guest of honor and everyone was super excited for Doutzen’s entrance!
Maria Clè Leal was a really cool show! It all started with a ballerina and it gave me a bit of a Maddie Ziegler in Sia’s clips feeling. Weird, extreme but also really sensitive, storytelling. The dancing was very expressive and drawn me into the whole collection.
The collection consisted of items in black, cream and fuchsia. The silhouettes were voluminous and big. Besides voluminous items in one tone the designer also showed a bohemian knitted sweater and a sweater with 3D appliques combined with a sheer printed maxi dress.
My favorite item was definitely the final dress. I loved the back of this dress and the print!
What do you think of this dress? (see last pictures below)
