Ciao dearies,
Better late than never, here is my report on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Amsterdam! Did I already tell you that I was actually sitting Front row (!!!!) at the show from SIS by Spikers & Spikers which was presented by Smart?
I felt so lucky and blessed, it actually felt a bit unreal haha. Sitting front row I felt like I meant something and that the Dutch fashion world respected me and my blog, no idea if this is actually true… But being on the front row at a show from these great Dutch designing sisters was a little bit of a dream come true!!
Today you can check out some of my photos I took during MBFWA and I’ll share my MBFWA front row opinion on the different shows I saw as well.ย Hope you like this post! Let me know what you think of these designs in a comment and I will get back at you ๐
PS NSFW: This blogpost might feature some nudity so I WON’T suggest reading the full blogpost while at WORK. You’re welcome!

The show from Smart presents SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers was again really nice. The designs were gorgeous and I especially loved the bug print and the colors used for this collection. Who doesn’t feel happy after seeing this pretty designs?! I would love love love to wear the yellow dress with the bug necklace! All of these items are just perfect!
Can I have it all please?!
From the front row I was able to see much more details compared to a seat higher up. I could see the quality of the fabrics, the little sew lines and I could even see the little legs of the bugs on the print. What do you think of this collection??
Next up is the collection from Barbara Langendijk. Barbara is a young designer with an eye for draping and working with interesting silhouettes. Check out my pictures from her show during MBFWA. Watch out, this is the part with some nudity.
This collection really had me interested. I loved most of the designs and just adored this white dress you see from the back in the photo above. Also I really felt a different couple of emotions during this show. The sand falling on the runway like an hourglass, the models walking in a certain pattern, it felt a bit melancholic. I would probably describe it as trying to work through something, step by step, looking toward the future with more peacefulness. Maybe a bit deep but it’s just a personal impression and feeling I had with this show and the designs.
My favorite looks where the white dress, white knit and the taupe outfit. These looks had an innocent but powerful radiation about them. Especially the taupe design would be something that I would love to wear!
I can’t wait to see more of this designer!
Besides the shows from SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers and Barbara Langendijk I also went to the show from Tony Cohen and a friend went to the show of Dorthout Mees instead of me. Both of these shows were amazing and I loved the designs as I always do. Tony Cohen and Dorhout Mees are truly my favorite Dutch designers and they always surprise me with their new designs.
Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of good pictures from both of these shows (except for the one above made by Iris from the Dorhout Mees show). Hopefully next season I will be able to show you more photos and more reports on different shows. Who knows, I might be sitting front row again next season?! ๐
Thanks to Smart for inviting me to sit front row at SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers, I really appreciate it!
Volgens mij was het thema van Spijkers&Spijkers “bugs”.
Indeed ๐

Thank you, yeah I loved the SIS by Spijkers & Spijkers collection, the Barbara Langendijk collection (the one with a lot of nudity) was also really pretty but I agree with you completely of course! ๐
