Train of thoughts: Winter is coming

train of thoughts winter is coming

Hi babes,

November flew by really fast. Can you believe that it is December already?! I just started working at my new job and already 3 weeks have past. I have done a lot of different things already and it’s amazing that I am learning new things again! When I noticed the time is ticking so fast I started thinking, winter is coming.

All this while I am still editing and having to post outfits that are perfect for fall but not at all suitable for the ice cold winter. Whoops. I really noticed that having an almost fulltime job gives me a lot of structure and security. But on the other hand I have no idea what happens to my free time haha. My first real weekend ended before I even had the chance to do something for myself or the blog and the same goes for my evenings. I figured that a good planning is everything when combining a job, a blog and a social life haha. So that is actually what I am doing right now, figuring out how to combine everything in a way that I’ll still have me-time as well! I feel like it is already going a bit better with managing my time 🙂

Another thing that is unfortunately keeping my busy is my health… It started about a month ago, my cluster period. The period in which I am having a sort of tension headache everyday and immense “shoot me” headache attacks once every two days. In the former years it also was waved away a bit but this year I went to the doctors again. I just started with trying out imigran nosesprays and had two acupuncture meetings so far. I feel like it does help a bit so far but I am a bit sceptical and I don’t want to get to hopeful yet. Should you have any tips or tricks for me to deal with my headaches please let me know…

Winter is coming

So with December here and winter on it’s way I’m very much looking forward to the holidays and to New Years Eve! I also can’t wait for 2017, after years where I am telling myself it’s going to be my year, this year I am absolutely sure it’s going to be my year! I love my career, the blog is going pretty good and I am in such a good please. It sometimes feels to good to be true and I feel so blessed!

What are you up to this month? Feel free to share your train of thoughts in the comments.

Baci,
Saranda

Take the jump – Outfit post

Ciao dearies,

Sometimes in life you just have to take a jump. Taking the jump to starting something new, take the jump to go on a trip around the world. Sometimes you should just go for something and figure out on the way whether it is working out the way you hoped, or not.

At some points in my life I could have jumped, but I didn’t. I did not apply for some jobs because I knew for sure they would never hire me since I was already 23. And when I did take the jump, on advice from one of my best blogger friends Dagmar, it turned out amazing! I got the job and in no time I worked at one of my favorite stores. But I regret that I just now, a couple months ago, took the jump. Because at this point, I have lost this job due to circumstances (no I did not get fired ;)).

Regret gets me nowhere though and so I am starting to focusing on the good things. And in the end I am happy I took this jump! I learned a lot in a fairly short amount of time, I had some amazing moments, was part of a store opening, was there when some special collections launched and well I just had some really cool colleagues.

While job hunting is not something that I want to do, I need to. But being on the hunt for a new dreamjob does also mean that I might take another jump. I don’t want to make excuses for not jumping anymore. I just want to do it and try it out! So soon I am going to make an appointment with the chamber of commerce and I will figure out how I can pursue my dreams. Hopefully to find out that with some help and advice it can work out the way I hope it will!

In this pictures I am wearing everything (jumpsuit, scarf and heels) from H&M except for the jacket which is from Primark, bag via Urban Outfitters, IKKI watch and Pandora bracelet.

Baci,
Saranda

NO SHIT – Outfit post

21-12-’13

Hi lovely followers!

In the Netherlands we always have a big ass charity operation a couple days before Christmas called Serious Request. A couple of radio dj’s will be stuck in a glass house without food for a couple of days and broadcasting 24/7. All for a good cause! For example: you can request your favorite song in exchange for a donation. It’s great and I must say I actually never listen to the radio but when Serious Request is going on I do turn on the radio more often!

So about this look; as you might be able to see it was extremely cold outside (which I did not expect haha) but I just had to show you this outfit! First of all I am wearing the NO SHIT beanie from Coolcat. The NO SHIT message refers to this years Serious Request, which is about children dying from diarrhea. By buying this cool beanie you will not only have a cool fashion statement in your hands but the profit actually goes to Serious Request! Get yours now!! 😀

Besides the beanie I am wearing: ASOS bodycon dress (available HERE), Coolcat aux leather jacket (similar HERE), Primark statement necklace, H&M heels and my Deena & Ozzy leather bag!

What do you guys think of this look? Let me know in a comment!
Sweet dreams guys!! xoxo

Musthave of the month: December

10-12-’13

Hi everyone,

It’s getting colder outside and in some places in the Netherlands it has already been snowing! So it is time for a new musthave of the month! While a lot of people don’t like these warm & furry friends, the other half seems to LOVE them… I am talking about UGG’s!

I personally love them, they are so comfy and perfect during the winter! I can assure you, you won’t have cold feet ever again! By the way I do also understand why some people don’t like them. They can look quite massive on your feet sometimes, which does not look very fashionable. But hey, comfort is also something very important, certainly during the winter when it is snowing or freezing outside!

The ones you can see above are some of my favorites! At the moment I already have a very old pair of the Chestnut Bailey Buttons (the middle one) and I also have the UGG Classic Mini in black personalized with Swarovski. I really like the left and right UGG’s, the design looks a bit more luxurious and fashionable than the standard colored Classic Mini’s and Classics. For the Dutchies reading this, I saw on Rowan’s blog (Red Reiding Hood) that the UGG’s on the right are exclusive at van den Assem and that they are available with discount at the moment! Go get them, right now! 😉

What do you think of UGG’s? Let me know in a comment! Ciao!!
