Trend report: A little bit of flare

Trend: A little bit of flare
Hi there lovely followers,
How has your weekend been? Mine has been super relaxed. I went to a part of Hollland with a lot of nature and old farms with family. It was just so nice to not be busy with social media, internet (although I was said the wifi did not work yesterday evening haha) and work.
Today I want to share a trend report from a trend I started noticing when I was shopping last week. Wide sleeves, flared jeans, wide wavy skirts, flared clothing is HOT! Luckily it does not only give me a seventies / hippies feeling, flared clothes also have a elegant touch to it. Personally I am not yet convinced, I do like the tops but the flared jeans, I just don’t know. But I would definitely like to try this trend and explore my options since this trend is just wearable by almost everybody. For example: a flared jeans or pantalon accentuates your waistline and it actually makes you look taller. Style a flared jeans with a chic blouse or pretty top. The other way around you could style a top with wide sleeves with a chic skinny jeans. Voila!
In the collage above you can see some of my favorite flared items, you definitely should have these items in your closet if you ask me ;).
Ciao!!

Trend report: Scuba stuff

23-02-’14
Scuba fashion trend spring 2014 H&M ASOS Topshop Forever21 Boohoo mode styling report blog sarandipity

Hi lovely followers,

This Sunday I want to tell you a bit about one of today’s hottest fashion trends, items made from Scuba fabric. Fabric that has a very soft feeling, a bit like a neopreen laptop sleeve, and is mostly used for wetsuits, diving suits and surf clothing. But now, scuba skirts and other scuba items like dresses, tops and jackets are common in high fashion stores like H&M, ASOS and more. In my opinion a very cool fashion trend!

Ever since I saw the first scuba fabric skirt I am dying to try it on and find some cool scuba fabric items for in my closet myself! 🙂
What I like about this trend is that it is use-able in almost all clothing items, as I said earlier most items are skirts but also dresses, tops, jackets and coats from scuba fabric are to be found everywhere. Cool right? This also makes this trend very easy to combine. Wear a scuba skirt like the grey one on the right with a leather jacket, or wear the blue jacket (the musthave item in my opinion) with a simple jeans, high heels, a leather bag and a cool tee! Enough possibilities I guess….

What do you guys think of this trend? Are scuba items HOT or NOT?

Trend report: Radiant Orchid

Trend: Radiant Orchid report fashion style mode inspiration pantone shopping makeup sarandipity blog

Hi sweet followers!

It is Sunday already so time for a new trend report! Since this years color, according to Pantone, is Radiant Orchid I need to do a trend report on this beautiful color! Fashion wise this color is just gorgeous and I think we’ll definitely see it a lot in stores and on the runway as well! Radiant Orchid comes in different shades, from a sort of darker lila to a deep red-ish purple.  In the Polyvore collage above you can see some items but you also see two very beautiful looks with Radiant Orchid items… I for sure would immediatly buy that faux fur coat or that lovely hippy style dress!

Personally I really think this color is just gorgeous! Radiant Orchid is easy to match with black, white, grey or brown. I also think it would look lovely as well with a denim fabric. Well if someone could now tell me wear to get that faux fur coat and that hippy dress?! 😉

What do you guys think of this years color, HOT or NOT? And how would you style it? 🙂

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

Trend report: Black and white

Black white fashion trend report blog sarandipity fashionblogger topshop forever21 boohoo

Happy sunday morning lovely followers!

Let’s pick up where I left, it’s been a while since I published my sunday trend report but today it’s time for a new trend! Black and white!

Minimalistic fashion, interior design and whatever else minimalistic, it’s all hot! Including minimalistic fashion as I said earlier this week in my inspiration post. Minimalism is partly expressed by using less colors or less flashy colors. Hot right now are black and white! And I must have to admit, I am starting to love black and white more and more! 🙂

So today in this trend report, some of my favorite black and white items! For starters, one must have a black jeans / pants whatever, a black skirt and a black blazer / jacket. This also means, white jeans / pants, white tops or shirts and a white blazer. Items with both black and white in it are also just perfect for this trend! Since I am quiet a girly person and my style is pretty feminine most of the times, I love to mix black and white up with soft pastels or flashy pops of color! Right now I love pastels with black and white… Already seen my outfit from last week? Go check it out!

How to wear, easy this trend can be casual, chic, sporty, edgy, you name it! Black and white are perfect colors for everyone I think.

What do you think of this trend… HOT or NOT? Let me know in a comment 🙂

Trend report: Fluffy fashion

Hi lovely followers,

How are you guys doing? I am doing a bit better and I seem to get a bit more inspired so you guys probably can expect some nice blogposts next week! Probably also because of the start of Amsterdam Fashion Week, which for me will start tomorrow with a bloggers network event with some nice blog workshops as well! I am super excited, that’s for sure! 🙂

Since it’s Sunday it’s time for a nice trend report and since it’s still sort of winter (it’s actually not that cold at all in Holland except for the evenings), I went for the faux fur / fluffy trend. Comfort is key during the colder seasons but we still want to look our best, don’t we? With these faux fur coats and gilets you will! My favorite is the one from Maison Scotch in the right corner! That coat is just lovely but unfortunately it’s not very cheap haha. Hey I just saw the jacket is now in SALE, it still costs €135 but that’s not that bad at all compared to the €270 it used to cost before! 🙂 You can buy this beauty over here. With a faux fur coat like this you will definitely be seen and it’s an amazing statement piece on a more simple outfit!

I really like the fluffy jumper with grey leopard print as well, this item would be lovely to style with a pair of black jeans or pants and with a statement necklace. This jumper seems to be super fluffy as well which means only one thing; comfy!! 😀

Wearing comfy fashion items can make you feel good and can give that little bit of extra cuteness or spice (depending on the fluffy item of course) to your look!

Which item is your favorite? Let me know in a comment 🙂
