Trend report: Spring Kimono’s

Spring 2014 trends Kimono asian cardigan styling trends fashion inspiration flower print fringes

Hi lovely followers,

Happy Sunday! When I went shopping with Britt last week before shooting and the IAFBC I spotted some gorgeous Kimono’s and I actually bought one (the inner Kimono in the upper right corner ;)).

The pictures I made with this gorgeous new item came out great! You will see the result soon, I promise ^^ But I noticed their are a lot of Kimono like cardigans in stores right now. 2014’s spring season is all about pastels, flower prints, asian prints and also fringes are hot again.

I really love the Kimono print, it just fits really well with the other trends and it is a very wearable trend. Kimono’s are chic but are very comfortable too. Besides that you can style a kimono like one of the examples above in a lot of different ways. On a skinny jeans, on a tight pantalon, on a slim midi or maxi skirt (in case of a somewhat shorter kimono).

So if you like these kimonos, don’t hesitate to buy one. I can assure you, you will be very happy with your purchase since you can style it in many many ways!

London Fashion Week favorites

27-02-’14

Hi there,

Wow I am still talking about London Fashion Week while Paris Fashion Week has already started, I think I might have a lot of catching up to do haha 😀

Today I would like to show you 12 (!) of my favorite catwalk looks from London Fashion Week. A couple of days ago I already showed you my fave designs from the Hunter Orginal fashion show, which I really loved by the way! Stylish boots and raincoats, what more could a Dutch girl wish for in the fall?! 😉 But today it’s the turn of Topshop Unique, Tom Ford and Burberry Prorsum. What I really liked about the collections from Topshop and Tom Ford were the clean designs and beautiful use of colors. Check out that gorgeous grey and black outfit above on the left, the long/midi circle skirt which looks super luxurious combined with a with a puffy more urban jacket. I heart it! <3 Both looks you can see above are from the Topshop Unique Fall Winter 2014/2015 collection.

The Burberry collection on the other hand was pretty colorful, deep darker colors were combined with pastels and various prints. From ethnic prints to dots and flowers. Not to mention the fabulous looking red sheer dress with lace embellishments.

What do you think of these collections? And which looks do you really like?

Ciao readers!!

Two other looks from the Topshop Unique collection, I love this more nude and soft colors.

My favorite four looks from the Tom Ford fashionshow. I personally like look three and four the best but I just can not pick one ultimate favorite haha.

Last but not least my favorites from the Burberry Prorsum fashion show. A huge difference with the two shows above but I love this as well. Look one and look four are my favorites. In my opinion look two is gorgeous but more for end of summer with the very naked looking top.

Trend report: Scuba stuff

23-02-’14
Scuba fashion trend spring 2014 H&M ASOS Topshop Forever21 Boohoo mode styling report blog sarandipity

Hi lovely followers,

This Sunday I want to tell you a bit about one of today’s hottest fashion trends, items made from Scuba fabric. Fabric that has a very soft feeling, a bit like a neopreen laptop sleeve, and is mostly used for wetsuits, diving suits and surf clothing. But now, scuba skirts and other scuba items like dresses, tops and jackets are common in high fashion stores like H&M, ASOS and more. In my opinion a very cool fashion trend!

Ever since I saw the first scuba fabric skirt I am dying to try it on and find some cool scuba fabric items for in my closet myself! 🙂
What I like about this trend is that it is use-able in almost all clothing items, as I said earlier most items are skirts but also dresses, tops, jackets and coats from scuba fabric are to be found everywhere. Cool right? This also makes this trend very easy to combine. Wear a scuba skirt like the grey one on the right with a leather jacket, or wear the blue jacket (the musthave item in my opinion) with a simple jeans, high heels, a leather bag and a cool tee! Enough possibilities I guess….

What do you guys think of this trend? Are scuba items HOT or NOT?

Trend report: Black and white

Black white fashion trend report blog sarandipity fashionblogger topshop forever21 boohoo

Happy sunday morning lovely followers!

Let’s pick up where I left, it’s been a while since I published my sunday trend report but today it’s time for a new trend! Black and white!

Minimalistic fashion, interior design and whatever else minimalistic, it’s all hot! Including minimalistic fashion as I said earlier this week in my inspiration post. Minimalism is partly expressed by using less colors or less flashy colors. Hot right now are black and white! And I must have to admit, I am starting to love black and white more and more! 🙂

So today in this trend report, some of my favorite black and white items! For starters, one must have a black jeans / pants whatever, a black skirt and a black blazer / jacket. This also means, white jeans / pants, white tops or shirts and a white blazer. Items with both black and white in it are also just perfect for this trend! Since I am quiet a girly person and my style is pretty feminine most of the times, I love to mix black and white up with soft pastels or flashy pops of color! Right now I love pastels with black and white… Already seen my outfit from last week? Go check it out!

How to wear, easy this trend can be casual, chic, sporty, edgy, you name it! Black and white are perfect colors for everyone I think.

What do you think of this trend… HOT or NOT? Let me know in a comment 🙂

Trend report: Fashionable Christmas

Fashionable Christmas ASOS BOOHOO mode fashion inspiration trends trendreport shopping fashionblog sarandipity fashionblogger nederlandse bloggers style holidays christmasjumpers

Morning lovely followers!

It is Sunday again so automaticly that means it is time for a new trend report!! Since Christmas day is near, only 10 more days to go, I thought; “lets make this trendreport about Chrismas fashion!”. And so here it is!

We all know the (ugly) Christmas jumpers, with a huge Rudolf on it. Think Bridget Jones diary starring Mark Darcy and the jumper his mother made for him! 😉 But now it’s becoming a trend, a lot of stores sells Christmas jumpers, for example the Primark or online shops like ASOS and Boohoo. Luckily they are not all ugly! 😉

Check out some of the Chirstmas jumpers and other fashion / lifestyle related Christmas products I found in the Polyvore moodboard above! I really like the Ginger bread jumper, the mintgreen & creme jumper (top right) and the London Christmas jumper (bottom right). Besides that check out those cute Christmas socks, the snowflakes legging and the Jingle Bells necklace!

What are your favorites? Let me know in a comment!
Happy Sunday everyone, xoxo Saranda
