Music Monday #1

Good morning lovely followers,

Today I woke up and realized I did not yet have a blogpost planned for you for today. But as soon as I heard one of my favorite songs I knew what to share with you today: my favorite songs of this moment.

Last weekend I went to a festival hosted by DJ Bakermat (from the song ‘One dag (Vandaag)’) and I loved it… At the moment deep house is my favorite music to listen to. Just because it’s super relaxing, a nice chill beat and oh let’s not forget the happy and amazing saxophones tunes. I have always loved music and music can always cheer me up. Deep house cheers me up, but let’s me relax as well. During the Kingsday party last weekend I did some dancing, chilling, listening, enjoying the sun and some more dancing. It was a lovely way to go out and the perfect festival for me to go to during Kingsday.

For now, let’s say goodbye to the Monday blues and listen to a nice diverse couple of my favorite songs at the moment.

Happy Monday loves <3

Alexander Wang x H&M, my expectations

25-04-’14

alexander wang fashion fall 2014 H&M blog style trends saranda expectations rocco bag

Happy Friday lovely followers,

Today I am talking to you about my expectations for the Alexander Wang x H&M collaboration! Like many of you I can’t wait till this collaboration is available in the stores, hell I might sleep in front of the H&M store haha 😉 Of course, depending on the items that will be sold and their price.

Since I always love Alexander Wang’s collection and his shows as well I decided to make a little collage of some items I have seen lately and how I feel Wang’s style will be visible in his H&M collection.

For starters I think we will see asymmetric garments like the middle photo in the bottom. I think asymmetric items like this will give the collection something special. Besides that an asymmetric blouse is a perfect basic with a nice and exciting twist, me like! Besides asymmetric items I hope to see a lot of volume, like you can see in all the skirts and the sweater from the cruise collection (the green one). I mostly love these skirts a lot, they look classy, feminine, innocent and fun! By the way I also adore the peplum-ish items in this collage… <3

Last but not least I expect to see knee-high boots, something like the ones on the pictures. And pretty, jackets. For the accessories I would really like to see a bag somewhat like the Rocco bag in different colors (pastels, nude and black please?!)

What do you think we can expect from the Alexander Wang x H&M collection?

xoxo Saranda

Puffy Dandelion – Outfit post

24-04-’14

sunglasses VANS sarandipity blog fashion

Hi there,

Today I am showing you the outfit I wore during Easter. As you can see in the pictures I was in a perfect mood yesterday when we were shooting pictures. In a way the puffy scuba skirt I am wearing is making me feel like a princess, on-top-of-the-world-women, Carrie Bradshaw or just like a very fun and positive version of me. The skirt makes me very joyful, that’s for sure!

When I saw this skirt first I knew I needed to have it! Even though one of my best blogger buddies Dagmar told me the skirt was actually very puffy, which it definitely is haha.

For easter I wanted to wear the skirt in a cute, feminine but powerful combination. That’s why I decided to wear it with my fierce heels (H&M), biker jacket (MANGO), ruffled top (H&M), cool sunglasses and shoulderbag (both from VANS, thanks to Ganbaroo). By the way, the skirt itself is from H&M as well 🙂

So… what do you think of this look?

Ciao!!

Personal: Another Blogging Tag

bloggers microsoft event sarandipity miss lipgloss beauty cynthia schultz

Hi everyone,

Last week Dagmar tagged me in the Another Blogging tag. In this tag I will probably answer a lot of questions you might have. Have fun reading and let me know should you have any other questions left!
What would you like to change on your blog and what would you like to keep it the way it is?
For now I would like to keep most things the way it is. But I would love to post more often and also more outfits. My lay-out is pretty okay but I do think that it is time to change my header someday soon. Maybe something that represents my current style a little bit more.
What I would love to know: What would you like to see more often on my blog?
Are you the only one behind Sarandipity?

I am the only person working on the posts, social media et cetera. But I do have people who regularly make my outfit photos. Most of the times the photos are made by my boyfriend, Kelly from We Heart Fashion or Britt from BrittaMaxime.

Click on the read more button for the rest of the questions ^^

Trend report: Flower power

13-04-’14
Flower print trend fashion styling floral sarandipity blog

Good morning lovely followers,

Today I would like to talk a bit about the Flower power trend going on right now. In the stores you see a lot of pastels, flared items and also a lot of flower prints or structures. Personally I like the flower structures the most. Those items really remind me of the Spring/Summer Burberry Prorsum collection, which I loved! I am sure Burberry has been a big inspiration and example for a lot of shops and brands, naturally.

The flower print trend is hot, just like the palm print trend I talked about last Sunday. Both of these are pretty striking prints. So when you go shopping for floral or palm printed items keep in mind that your look should also have some peaceful basic items as well.

For example you could combine the black skirt, the denim shorts and the right shorts with a white blouse. If you are a true dare devil you can try to combine multiple prints. But I suggest to always have a stable base within your total look.  My favorite items from the collage above are the shorts and skirts, to me these would be the most easy and versatile to combine.

What do you think of the floral print?
