Strijp-S Industrial chic – Outfit post

[:en]Industrial chic outfit post river island IMYF6

Ciao babes,

If you are ever planning to visit Eindhoven, the city of light, in the Netherlands, be sure to visit the Strijp-S area. This area used to be the former home of the Philips factory and it’s a very big industrial and creative space right now. From design agencies, cool new brands and even a very cool ice salon, Strijp-S has it all. It’s just the perfect industrial chic place!

So when I went shooting with Aicha a couple of weeks ago Strijp-S was the place to shoot my latest outfits. I already showed you two outfits from our shoot, the LBD & Sunshine after rain, and today it’s time for the last one already – I’m thinking I should plan a new date with Aicha, don’t you think?

For this look I went ton-sur-ton, all items being an industrial, khaki green color, combined with my black and gold Furla shoulder bag and my black Sacha heels. The look is pretty simple, a woven tee with embellishments by Lola & Liza, but the skirt from River Island adds some spice to the look. In some photos I am also wearing my khaki green shawl by I’ll Make You Famous.

What do you think of this Industrial Chic outfit? Let me know in a comment!

Milan Fashion Week – Outfit post

Travel Milan Fashion Week outfit style ootd

Ciao loves,

After telling you a bit more about my visit to Milan Fashion Week yesterday it is time today to share my favourite Milan Fashion Week outfit with you all! I shot this look with Iris from A Dash of Fash after visiting a show.

When I saw this pants at Zara I just had to have it! I really love the palazzo style trend and the woven fabric in the pants. The pants is high waisted and although I got it tailored it is still pretty big so I do need to wear it with a belt. For Milan Fashion Week I decided to combine the pants with sneakers instead of heels to give the look a little bit of a sporty and casual vibe.

Blazer: River Island
Pullover: Petite Bateau
Belt: River Island
Pants: Zara
Shoes: Adidas Originals via Omoda Shoes*
Backpack: Zara

What do you girls think of the outfit I am wearing? Would you wear something like this or not?

Baci,
Saranda

Trend report: Flower power

13-04-’14
Flower print trend fashion styling floral sarandipity blog

Good morning lovely followers,

Today I would like to talk a bit about the Flower power trend going on right now. In the stores you see a lot of pastels, flared items and also a lot of flower prints or structures. Personally I like the flower structures the most. Those items really remind me of the Spring/Summer Burberry Prorsum collection, which I loved! I am sure Burberry has been a big inspiration and example for a lot of shops and brands, naturally.

The flower print trend is hot, just like the palm print trend I talked about last Sunday. Both of these are pretty striking prints. So when you go shopping for floral or palm printed items keep in mind that your look should also have some peaceful basic items as well.

For example you could combine the black skirt, the denim shorts and the right shorts with a white blouse. If you are a true dare devil you can try to combine multiple prints. But I suggest to always have a stable base within your total look.  My favorite items from the collage above are the shorts and skirts, to me these would be the most easy and versatile to combine.

What do you think of the floral print?

Trend report: California Palmtree’s

California Palm prints coachella fashion blog style blogger sarandipity spring summer trends

Good morning!

Today I would like to share one of my last obsessions and a big trend right now. Palm prints!! I really like palm prints since they make every item look more exotic. This print is perfect for the spring and the summer.

Being honest, I have not yet bought something with palm print for my spring / summer 2014 wardrobe… However I have some pretty cool items on my mind which I would love to have!

Palm prints always make me think of sunny California and now also Coachella. I would still really love to go to that festival some day. Fingers crossed I can make that dream come true ^^

My favorite item from the things you can see above is the white shorts with green palm print. Of course I love all the other items as well haha. Which item is your favorite??

Have a lovely Sunday, ciao!

Trend report: Spring Kimono’s

Spring 2014 trends Kimono asian cardigan styling trends fashion inspiration flower print fringes

Hi lovely followers,

Happy Sunday! When I went shopping with Britt last week before shooting and the IAFBC I spotted some gorgeous Kimono’s and I actually bought one (the inner Kimono in the upper right corner ;)).

The pictures I made with this gorgeous new item came out great! You will see the result soon, I promise ^^ But I noticed their are a lot of Kimono like cardigans in stores right now. 2014’s spring season is all about pastels, flower prints, asian prints and also fringes are hot again.

I really love the Kimono print, it just fits really well with the other trends and it is a very wearable trend. Kimono’s are chic but are very comfortable too. Besides that you can style a kimono like one of the examples above in a lot of different ways. On a skinny jeans, on a tight pantalon, on a slim midi or maxi skirt (in case of a somewhat shorter kimono).

So if you like these kimonos, don’t hesitate to buy one. I can assure you, you will be very happy with your purchase since you can style it in many many ways!

xoxo Saranda
