Today in Holland it’s Liberation day, a day in which we celebrate how we won back our freedom as a country after the second world war. Probably non of my readers have lived through this war but you might have been in contact with other wars or struggles your country has been in. Today I am extra grateful for the freedom given to us by our great-grandparents and everything who fought for freedom during this horrible war. I hope that, who you are, wherever you are, that you are free and that you may enjoy your freedom. That you have freedom of speech, freedom of your thoughts, religion and lifestyle. If you are not, I pray for you to receive the freedom you deserve <3
Now about my look. It’s not rebellious, it has not much to do with freedom except for the freedom to express myself…
A denim on denim outfit this time. A denim jacket with a meaning, my own made up term Sarandipity (Serendipity + Saranda) a koi carp and a lotus flower. The meaning of these symbols together: “Lotus flowers are commonly depicted in tattoos. These flowers grow in a muddy pond but develop into a beautiful flower which is much loved. The lotus is often paired with a koi which can take on a variety of meanings. This tattoo may represent purity, struggle or a change in life. The lotus with the koi may also represent struggle, determination or inevitable success.” Quote
In this outfit I am wearing my personalized denim jacket by Pepe Jeans, a white blouse from H&M with underneath it a blue t-shirt bra from Victoria’s Secret, denim jeans from WE Fashion, bag from VANS and chelsea boots from ASOS.

Today I am talking about denim, essential items from denim which everyone should have. For example the denim jacket! Not without a reason I say that Denim is the new black! Denim is timeless as I have learned at the #DenimtheNewIcons event in the designer outlet Roermond!
In this outfit I am wearing my personalized Pepe Jeans jacket which I won in a contest from Fashiolista! I really love how it states my blog name: Sarandipity and symbolises my personality, the things I am working on or the things I am looking to add more of in my current life.
The koi fish represents strength, the power of perseverance, luck and the power to fight setbacks. The lotus flower is a very important flower within the Buddhist and Hindu religions/cultures. To me this special flower, which grows from the mud to the surface, stands for purity, spiritual awakening, growth and faith or faithfulness.
With the focus on this special denim item I tried to keep the rest of my look more clean, black. While denim is the new black, we should not forget that black is still a perfect color for a clean and basic look. Black should never be underestimated and the same goes for denim!
My full look consists out of my Pepe Jeans denim jacket (Thanks to Fashiolista!), H&M tanktop, H&M pantalon, DUO leatherboots, MARMA Sunglasses, BL’QE Geneve bracelets and IKKI watch.
Let me know what you think of my look in a comment!
Last weekend I shot a couple of different looks and today I can show you one of the outfits that I shot with a befriended photographer: Raquel Huigen. Her work is fascinating and really good! She’s actually one of the top 100 upcoming photographers in the Netherlands 🙂
In this look I am wearing another one of my favorite VOGUE tee’s haha. For this outfit I decided to style it in a casual look with a black/white base and colorful details in the blazer and sneakers. I think this combination of items shows that I am laid-back, fun and down to earth in my beings, what do you think?
The jeans I am wearing in this outfit is one I customized at the Pepe Jeans Customstudio laser machine. You can see some cute pineapples in the jeans on these photos and I also printed my favorite Andy Warhol quote on one of my back pockets. I really love these jeans and I am so happy with it! <3
I am wearing my Finders Keepers blazer, VOGUE the art of fashion tee, Pepe Jeans customized Andy Warhol ripper jeans (thanks to Pepe Jeans and Unlimited PR!), my new Nike Air Max 1 (which match perfectly with the blazer, right?!) and my Noosa Amsterdam bracelet and IKKI watch.
What do you guys think of this look? 🙂
Hi there lovely followers,
How has your weekend been? I haven’t done a Instagram diary in a long time so it’s time to update you guys a little bit… 🙂 I am super busy lately and sometimes that messes with my blogging schedule a little bit but I hope to fix my schedule this week haha.
So last month I have done some really cool stuff and May so far has been really good as well.
Let’s start with the first pictures. Read one for the full diary and more photos.
Hi dear followers!
Last week has been really amazing, as I already told you in the previous blogpost 😉 It started on Wednesday with the bloggersevent from Unlimited PR, called the BIG U! Well it certainly was BIG, it was HUGE!! 😀 So in this blogpost I will tell you all about this event, I will let you in on some details of what I did during the event and more!
Click on read more for the full report! (Photo’s made be me, the photobooth, de Fotomeisjes)
During the event we had a lot of cool things to do! You could go into make-up, get to know new brands, go into a photobooth and you could also style the DRYKORN IT-coat of this season! Oversized is HOT, and so is this very lovely coat by DRYKORN! Such a musthave, in my humble opinion! Can I have it, pleasseeeee? O=)
I styled this coat the way you can see below, with a shirt from DRYKORN itself and with a jeans from Pepe Jeans! 🙂 At the event I also wanted to have a photo of me with my styling, while working on this blogpost I suddenly thought that the coat also would be very cool in combination with the outfit I was wearing at the event haha.
What do you think of the way I styled the IT-coat??
Having a lot of fun in the photobooth with a couple of fellow bloggers 🙂 First styling the Calvin Klein Jewelry! Look at the lovely watch and cool necklace! <3 I really love the rose gold jewelry set I am wearing in this pictures.
And the Pepe Jeans photobooth! Pepe Jeans celebrated their 40th birthday, congratulations to Pepe Jeans!!! 😀 In the booth I was wearing a cool Pepe Jeans beany from their new fall/winter collection, I loved that beany! What do you guys think how it looks on me? I think it looks pretty good, not what I expected haha. (I am even considering to buy this particular beany!) Maybe it is the Pepe Jeans photobooth magic that makes it look good haha 😉 By the way, check out that lovely Britain flag in the background, looks cool right? This pictures are so fun, I love photobooths! 🙂
Next stop, the M.A.C. cosmetics corner!
Walking around the showroom I came across Mi Pacha, a dutch shoebrand with shoes that are inspired by Peru and also handmade in Peru! And of course Unlimited PR made sure we did not starve, look at these delicious bites and cute Tiffany’s cupcakes!!
One of the other cool things to do was the Music Bingo! Put on the headphones, listen to music and see if the song that is playing is on your bingo card! Lucky me for being such a music addict, I won!!! And the price?? Your own Sennheiser Momentum headphones, wow!
Last, but definitely not least, we got the chance to choose a pair of UGGs Classic Mini and to have them get customized with Swarovski stones! I chose the black UGG’s and got my initials on them 🙂
As you can understand by now I really had an A-MA-ZING time! I am so grateful for the invite and want to thank Unlimited PR for the good care. They really spoiled us bloggers! I also would like to thank UGG Australia for the lovely, warm, customized boots and Sennheiser for the great headphones!
I can say, without a doubt, that I can’t wait for the next Unlimited PR event!
