End 2013 with a bang! balmain boohoo mode fashion moda inspiration trend report party dresses new years eve what to wear sarandipity fashionblog

2013 is coming to an ends which means it is not only time for new years resolutions but first it is time of the biggest party of the year!!

Are you ready to end 2013 and start 2014 with a bang?!
With New Years Eve right around the corner I am looking for a nice affordable party dress! I really like sequins but I actually never wear them, except on special occasions. So while I am not very very rich I tend to buy more functional dresses with less sequins and glitters 😉 But I just found out that Boohoo.com has some amazing low budget party dresses! Well we’ll see, for now I made this Polyvore collage with some of my favorite party dresses! My favorite ones are the teal / green-blue dresses and the gold / teal zigzag dress!

What is your favorite dress from the ones above? Please let me know in a comment!

Trend report: Fashionable Christmas

Morning lovely followers!

It is Sunday again so automaticly that means it is time for a new trend report!! Since Christmas day is near, only 10 more days to go, I thought; “lets make this trendreport about Chrismas fashion!”. And so here it is!

We all know the (ugly) Christmas jumpers, with a huge Rudolf on it. Think Bridget Jones diary starring Mark Darcy and the jumper his mother made for him! 😉 But now it’s becoming a trend, a lot of stores sells Christmas jumpers, for example the Primark or online shops like ASOS and Boohoo. Luckily they are not all ugly! 😉

Check out some of the Chirstmas jumpers and other fashion / lifestyle related Christmas products I found in the Polyvore moodboard above! I really like the Ginger bread jumper, the mintgreen & creme jumper (top right) and the London Christmas jumper (bottom right). Besides that check out those cute Christmas socks, the snowflakes legging and the Jingle Bells necklace!

What are your favorites? Let me know in a comment!
Happy Sunday everyone, xoxo Saranda

Trend report: the great Gatsby

Trend: the great Gatsby

Happy monday morning everyone!

How was your weekend? Mine was great, relaxed and I actually shopped some nice things!
Soon on the blog of course! 😉

Thanks to a lot of fashion magazines, Bridget Jones on the television and me finally getting a job, I got my inspiration bag and therefore I wanted to share this trend report with you! Yesterday I showed you the slip dress trend and how to wear, today it is all about ‘the great Gatsby’. This movie has become it’s own trend, ASOS.com is shopping walhalla for Flapper dresses and dresses with a lot of embellishments! The movie was great, but the trend is even hotter! Imagine yourself in a chic flapper dress, time travelling to the roaring twenties and partying with the true great Gatsby, or DiCaprio if you like 😉

For me the clutch and bracelet from the moodboard are a musthave! I think the great Gatsby trend is not very easy to style. But with a furry vest or coat, simple pumps in black or nude I think you are pretty safe!

The great Gatsby trend is also seen on many catwalks and in the fashion magazines. Click on the read more button for some photo’s!

Ciao!

Trend report: Dare to wear, the slip dress!

Daring trend; the slip dress trend fashion mode moda inspiration trend report fashionblog sarandipity polyvore asos mango topshop dutch fashionblogger

Happy sunday lovely followers!

Today’s sunday trend report is all about a daring trend, fierce, sexy and above all feminine and romantic. But so far I have not participated this trend, simply because it is very daring! By layering this statement item, the slip dress, with a knitted sweater almost everyone can pull of this trend! Match a dark (black or navy) slip dress with a soft colored knitted sweater, for example white, cream or a pastel color. Or vice versa you can match a white slip dress with a more darker knit (not sure I would go for a white / cream slip dress though… )

You can also pull of the slip dress by styling it with more grungy items (like a boucle or leather biker jacket) or a very sophisticated look with a long pastel colored coat!

Above all I think you should try to style the slip dress in a way that you cover up other parts of your body. Either you show some cleavage OR you show some legs, not both. And I guess with the slip dress trend I would rather like to show my legs! For me wearing the slip dress with a knitted item like a sweater or a huge fluffy cardigan is the way to go!

Maybe you’ll even see me wearing this trend soon! 😉
Have a nice day everyone!! xo Saranda

Trend report: Winter wonderland

Good afternoon everyone!

It’s sunday so time for another trend report and this time it’s all about the color white! Winter white or winter wonderland to be precise, according to Glamour.com one of the most wearable trends this season. But…. white colors in the winter, not a lot of people wear it, probably because it is quite risky when it’s raining or when it has rained. Because white just does get dirty very quick and easy. Simple as that. But it is a very pretty color if you wear it the right way!

For example you can combine something white with black (like some of the examples above) or you can combine some white items with a colorful top or nude / brown colors. You can also combine a white top with a jeans or an all white outfit with a denim jacket / blouse. So there are a lot of possibilities how to wear white! For me a white coat would be just perfect!

How would you wear the winter white / winter wonderland trend? Let me know in a comment and don’t forget to join my giveaway!
