Free as a butterfly – Outfit post

heart-firenze

Ciao ragazzi,

It’s my birthday today, yay! For a special day like this I had a special outfit in mind! Something with a meaning, something which fits the way how I see life at the moment… Above all something that represents what I am working towards, which future I am building, free as a butterfly… 🙂

Shooting this look was so much fun and it was at an amazing location with a view all over the city and the smaller towns around Firenze. I also had two (!) photographers, the lovely Shawn & Diego (thanks guys for everything!) which made me feel like a celebrity haha. People even started making photos of us shooting, especially the Asian tourists. Very funny situation haha, I’m actually surprised I did not feel awkward or anything, it actually was fun, because in Holland I sometimes feel very awkward when people watch your shooting session.

No, in Firenze I felt free! I did not care and I fluttered around the city, trying to see all the sights while relaxing and having the most fun possible. I literally felt like I was free as a butterfly.

This freedom, this feeling was also the setting and feel that I wanted to show you guys in the outfit. I went for a fun, playful playsuit from Liquorish with, yup, butterflies (farfalle in Italiano)! Hence the free as a butterfly titel 😉 I fell in love with this playsuit when I saw it on ASOS, the little details on the back, the kaleidoscope butterfly print, the colors, it just screamed ‘Take me with you to Firenze’ haha. It’s actually one of my favorite summer outfits now (too bad summer is over haha).

I am wearing a playsuit from Liquorish (bought on ASOS.com), sunglasses from VANS, necklace from KarmaMantra, camera / handbag from JoTotes (thanks to my lovely parents), bracelet from Noosa Amsterdam, watch from IKKI and heels from H&M.

Now I am very curious! What do you think of this free as a butterfly OOTD / outfit, the view and also what did you think of this blogpost where I told you more about the feeling (the free as a butterfly feeling) and the idea behind the actual look?

Baci,
Saranda

Turquoise waters – Outfit post

fashion-outfit-ootd-blogger-firenze-arno-turquoise waters-acqua-river-nature-moda-sarandipity5

Buongiorno!

When you are reading this I probably am already of to work! Working at H&M is a lot of fun and I am really happy that I have this job besides my blog 🙂 Today I am showing you my second Firenze look with a lot of turquoise , turqoise is my favorite gemstone and one of my all time favorite colors (next to pastels like pink and mint hihi). With this Turquoise waters outfit post I want to show you how I try to add my favorite gem into my daily accessories and wardrobe!

I know it’s a summery look but hey in Firenze the weather is still pretty good and although it rains a lot here in holland (oh how I wish those raindrops looked more like these turquoise waters ;)) the temperature is still pretty good!

When we (me and my lovely photographers Diego & Shawn, miss you guys!) were shooting this look I wanted to get creative. Show some nature and feeling. I felt so free in Firenze, free of all the stress from my daily life. Wearing my favorite color and gemstone in a lot of different items from this look made me really happy as well. It was the perfect look to share you my emotional state when I was in the magnificent city of Firenze. Shooting this outfit on / in the Arno river made it all perfect. The setting, my mood, my outfit, the turquoise waters and blueish-green colors surrounding me, it connected… Well at least it did in my eyes!

And so I can not wait to find out what YOUR opinion is about this look? Do you get the same free feeling? Besides that I am also wandering what your favorite gemstone is… So let me know in a comment!

I am wearing sunglasses from VANS; necklace by Karma Mantra; top by H&M; shorts from ASOS; bracelet from Noosa Amsterdam.

Have a lovely day ragazzi!

On the edge – Outfit post

fashion outfit ootd sarandipity over the edge messy bun andy wolf sunglasses zara pearl earrings

Buongiorno ragazzi!

This early morning I would like to show you the first outfit of my Firenze OOTD shoot with my fellow Italian students Diego & Shawn! Normally I make my photos with my boyfriend or with blogger babe Britt from Brittamaxime.com but as both of them were not with me in Firenze I needed to find someone else! Lucky for me I found these great guys that made some really gorgeous photos! Let me tell you a bit more about this on the edge – outfit post…

We shot this look at a bridge and I actually did some risky stuff like holding my shark tooth Fashionology necklace over the rail of the bridge crossing the Arno river. I also looked down a couple of times with the big risk of loosing my sunglasses. Thankfully none of this happend and I still have all my precious items hihi.

This look actually was one of my favorites during my adventures in Italy. It is super comfy thanks to my Nikes and cute & feminine because of the skirt and the sunglasses! A casual sporty chic look great for a night dancing or going out for drinks!

So what am I wearing?
From head to toe: Sunglasses by Andy Wolf thanks to bckspace eyewear, Pearl earrings by Zara, Shark tooth necklace by Fashionology, Basic tank from H&M, Skirt from Zara and Nike Airmax LE sneakers.

As usual I would love to hear your opinion on this look so let me know in a comment 🙂

Personal: Italian life

italian-life-fashion-blogger-saranda-sarandipity-firenze-ponte-vecchio

Ciao tutti!

Ho sono tornato / I’m back, from my Italian adventure and my wonderful Italian life! Because of my full time training at H&M and my immediate holiday afterwards I had a little bit of a blogging break which I really needed. But now I am back with some great new ideas, lots of creative spirit and some amazing stories to tell you!

Starting today with a little bit of a peek into my Italian life in Firenze, or Florence (As a self-pronounced Fiorentina or Florentian I prefer Firenze over Florence though…).

I arrived in Pisa and took the first bus to Firenze, I was exhausted from my full time training and I also learned some bad news just the day before I left. An emotional roller coaster to say the least. When boarding my plane in Eindhoven the excitement finally started to kick in but I was relieved when I arrived at my Fiorentine apartment. As soon as I met my roomie and flatmates I was happy and felt home! If you guys are reading this, thank you for the amazing time <3

Read on for the full story 😉
Ciao!!
