Good morning!

While shooting this outfit photos the sun went down so it went darker very quickly. Since I am not blogging seriously for more than a year it’s something me and my boyfriend photographer need to get used to.. He is away a lot (for school), I have got a job since Wednesday (YAY, FINALLY!) and the weather is shitty most of the time. But still I can’t complain! Last week it has been sunny and I have been able to make these beautiful pictures, I just love the bokeh and the contrast!! Besides that, I am doing what I love! I am busy with social media a lot, busy building my personal and professional network and above all I am blogging my ass off ๐Ÿ˜‰ I am actually going to do a fashion journalism course starting 9 January, oh gosh I just can’t wait!

Okay, on-topic haha, I decided to wear a casual outfit which was all about accessories! This outfit would not have worked for me without my furry coat, the shawl, the beanie and the belt. I am wearing my Supertrash coat, my personalized POM shawl (similar HERE), teal beanie with pompom from C&A (similar HERE), my Hard Rock Cafe Bali t-shirt, jeans from C&A, belt from a random store in my hometown (similar HERE) and my H&M boots.

Don’t forget to let me know what you think of this look in a comment! Have a lovely Friday!

Find fashion

12-12-’13

Hi everyone,

You have probably all heard the news about the fashion Shazam that launched last week, called Style-Eyes. But doesn’t the concept sound familiar?? In September I wrote this article about Spot & Shop, a Dutch initiative from fashionista Nikky and Sanoma (yes the one from the magazines! ;))

Well today Spot & Shop launched their website (SpotnShop.nl) and I though it would be nice to write a short opinion piece on both concepts! Both concepts look a lot a like and I think both concepts have a lot to offer! While Style-Eyes is very digital, and probably has a computer search for matching items (They do have to do some updating; I have come across a couple of weird mistakes haha), Spot & Shop is a community where fashionista’s can help each other. So other like minded people do the searching for you! This means more work I guess, but also more accurate results based on how fashionista’s look at it.

If you are searching for a particular item, I think Spot & Shop is the way to go! Most fashionista’s find their items within 3 hours, WOW! But I think that if you are walking in the city, while you are shopping and you see an item on an advertisement or on a celeb via Instagram, I think it’s best to use Style-Eyes. You probably won’t get a perfect match, but something that looks like it. To me personally, both concepts are useful. The Spot & Shop website for when I have more time and are looking for a particular item. And the Style-Eyes app for immediate look-a-likes!

Have you already tried one or both of the concepts?? Ciao!!

Comfy Cardigan – Outfit post

Hi there lovely followers!

A couple of weeks ago I had a meeting with the owner from the webshop Kenzaa to shoot some outfits! And today’s look is actually a result from this ‘photoshoot’! This look is above all comfy and chic. The long warm knitted cardigan is perfect for cold days like these (at the moment it is very foggy and freezing outside!). By wearing the army green blouse the look has a little bit of a chic touch to it.

The cardigan you can see in this pictures was one of my favorite Kenzaa products at the moment we were shooting and I loved wearing it! My total outfit (cardigan, blouse & legging) is from Kenzaa.nl, except my heels which are from H&M and my jewelry.

I am very curious to find out what you guys think of this look, so please let me know in a comment! Ciao!!

Musthave of the month: December

10-12-’13

Hi everyone,

It’s getting colder outside and in some places in the Netherlands it has already been snowing! So it is time for a new musthave of the month! While a lot of people don’t like these warm & furry friends, the other half seems to LOVE them… I am talking about UGG’s!

I personally love them, they are so comfy and perfect during the winter! I can assure you, you won’t have cold feet ever again! By the way I do also understand why some people don’t like them. They can look quite massive on your feet sometimes, which does not look very fashionable. But hey, comfort is also something very important, certainly during the winter when it is snowing or freezing outside!

The ones you can see above are some of my favorites! At the moment I already have a very old pair of the Chestnut Bailey Buttons (the middle one) and I also have the UGG Classic Mini in black personalized with Swarovski. I really like the left and right UGG’s, the design looks a bit more luxurious and fashionable than the standard colored Classic Mini’s and Classics. For the Dutchies reading this, I saw on Rowan’s blog (Red Reiding Hood) that the UGG’s on the right are exclusive at van den Assem and that they are available with discount at the moment! Go get them, right now! ๐Ÿ˜‰

What do you think of UGG’s? Let me know in a comment! Ciao!!

Trend report: the great Gatsby

Trend: the great Gatsby

Happy monday morning everyone!

How was your weekend? Mine was great, relaxed and I actually shopped some nice things!
Soon on the blog of course! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks to a lot of fashion magazines, Bridget Jones on the television and me finally getting a job, I got my inspiration bag and therefore I wanted to share this trend report with you! Yesterday I showed you the slip dress trend and how to wear, today it is all about ‘the great Gatsby’. This movie has become it’s own trend, ASOS.com is shopping walhalla for Flapper dresses and dresses with a lot of embellishments! The movie was great, but the trend is even hotter! Imagine yourself in a chic flapper dress, time travelling to the roaring twenties and partying with the true great Gatsby, or DiCaprio if you like ๐Ÿ˜‰

For me the clutch and bracelet from the moodboard are a musthave! I think the great Gatsby trend is not very easy to style. But with a furry vest or coat, simple pumps in black or nude I think you are pretty safe!

The great Gatsby trend is also seen on many catwalks and in the fashion magazines. Click on the read more button for some photo’s!

Ciao!
