Hi everyone,

I am way behind on watching the fashion week shows from New York and London, bad bad blogger haha. But I will try to discuss some of my favorite shows from NYFW this week. First I would really like to show you my final favorites from the Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week.

I really thought about these favorites a lot since I had a lot of favorite looks haha. But this designs are definitely gorgeous! Above you can see my favorite look from the Chanel Haute Couture show (I love the holographic trend!!), two of my favorite dresses / gowns from Giambattista Valli and on the richt my favorite from the Dior Haute Couture show. What I most loved about these shows where the use of pastels and brighter pops of color as well. For example the dresses from Giambattista Valli show that bright deep colors match just perfectly with pastels! YAY for that 😀

Now my most favorite show from the Haute Couture fashion week in Paris was the show from Valentino. My love for this designer and his sense of fashion is growing huge and therefore I could not resist but show you all of my favorite designs from his Haute Couture show in Paris.

Hopefully you’ll like these gorgeous gowns as much as I do!
Ciao!!

Romantic pink knit – Outfit post

sarandipity ootd fashion blog personal street style outfit romantic pink pastels HM Supertrash Dolcis

Hi guys!

Yesterday I showed you a little Valentines day themed preview of this look. The outfit I am wearing has a pretty romantic feel to it thanks to the pastel pink knit sweater. Wearing this outfit made me feel chic, hug-able and sexy at the same time. The fact that this sweater is cropped and feels very soft and light really was the reason it gave the look a little bit of sexiness. Since the top is wide and the button of my chino pantalon was wide as well I did had to work my angles (I am watching a little bit too much ANTM I think hahaha). As Tyra Banks would say: “I am not that strong en face” 😉

Let me tell you something about the items I am wearing. The pink knitted cropped jumper is from H&M for €19,95, the woolen chino pantalon is from SuperTrash (I think it’s from a collection out of 2011 or something). Besides my new knitted sweater and my SuperTrash pantalon I am wearing pumps from Dolcis.

I love this look mostly because of the simplicity. What do you guys think of this look? 🙂

xoxo Saranda

14-02-’14

Happy Valentines day everyone!
Hi lovely followers,

As I told you in my previous blogpost I really wanted to do the boyfriend tag today so here it is! Although he is not very keen on being in the spotlight he filled in the questions hihi… Since the boyfriend tag is super cute but not always with the most cool questions I thought, how bout personalize the tag a bit. So this tag is really a Sarandipity boyfriend tag haha 😉If you like it please use it, maybe you can link back? That would be great!
Well here we go, have fun reading!! 🙂

When and where did we first meet?
Mayk: We met somewhere in the afternoon at a pier in Rovinj.
Me: True, during my first vacation without my parents I met you in Rovinj, Croatia.
What was our first ‘date’ ?
Mayk: Some dinner somewhere :p
Me: Haha probably true, since we did not actually date before we got to be a couple we don’t know this exactly 😉 Fun fact 😉
How did we become official?
Mayk: We registered our names and legislation under the official couples representatives act of 2008.
Me: LOL, it was actually pretty funny. After you got back from vacation you came to my place with a few friends and since you and me lived so far apart back then my parents let you guys stay overnight. Then I send you a text with something saying, xoxo your girlfriend? Hihi ^^
When did you first meet my parents?
Mayk: 30 seconds after I met you for the second time.
Me: Haha that’s pretty accurate I guess 🙂
What was the most epic experience we had together?
Mayk: Our roadtrip with the motorbikes in Crete, Greece?
Me: Yes that was awesome! But I do think every vacation we went on together was amazing!
What is my biggest dream?
Mayk: To be happy.
Me: Yeah probably haha, my dreams always tend to shift.
What do I do when I am bored?
Mayk: Nothing useful, checking Facebook and watching tv-series 😛
Me: That’s true I’m afraid 😉
How long do I take to get ready in the morning?
Mayk: Your morning “routine” takes about 1 minute. One second is spent in getting out of bed, then about 9 seconds for making breakfast, followed by 49.9 seconds of thinking what clothing to wear today :P, and then 0.1 seconds to actually put them on. Everything else is done en route. Pretty accurate. *replace the word seconds by minutes during the weekends.
Me: Pretty accurate indeed, especially when I am in a hurry!

When did we move to Eindhoven?
Mayk: If u mean as in, when was our first night here I actually don’t know. Maybe the weekend after my bday?
Me: Correct!
Name one unfortunate moment we really laughed about afterwards?
Mayk: The puke festival in the train, haha.
Me: Haha yeah that was super embarrassing :p
What do you think I like about you the most?
Mayk: My fun loving caring personality accompanied with dat amazing supamodel baoddi ;]
Me: <3

What do I like to watch on television?
Mayk: ehmmm not sure whatsitcalled. Some kind of high-school vampires singing songs while communicating in sign language like everyone is deaf? And then there is this other show about 4 little liars being chased by someone called A. Me: I watch to much tv series haha

Name a type of food I hate…
Mayk: Peanuts
Me: Bluhhhh indeed I don’t like peanuts.

We are out for dinner, what drink do I order?

Mayk: Probably Coca Cola
Me: Or water, or sweet white whine.

Mayk: 38

If I were to be a collector, what would I collect?
Mayk: Nailpolish probably!
Me: Yes, I love nailpolish! And besides that designer bags I think hihi ^^

Mayk: That would be croissants and your favorite sandwich is a tosti with ham and cheese.
Me: Yummmm <3

Valentines day preview: Romantic pink knit

14-02-’14

sarandipity fashion ootd outfit pink knit romantic h&m happy valentine

Happy Valentines day everyone!

How are you all doing? I am still pretty tired from yesterday, not only did I have another evening with super awesome information about fashion journalism, I also visited Spot & Shop (I told you about this concept earlier HERE and HERE). A very cool day but when I got home around 12 0’clock in the evening I needed to go to bed ASAP haha.

So therefore, today’s blogpost is a bit later then planned 😉 As you know it’s Valentines day this lovely day so Happy Valentines day to you all! When I went shooting this Monday I was not busy with this day so unfortunately I do not have an über Valentines look or something. But I do think the look I am going to show you tomorrow had a romantic twist to it. This blogpost is sort of a preview for tomorrow’s outfit. As you can already see the pastel pink colored knit is a little bit romantic with the grey sober background.

Today I am going to spend time with my boyfriend and I will do some work for #metzonderwerk and my blog. I hope, fingers crossed, I can share a personal post with you later this day… Because I really want to do the boyfriend tag but I don’t know if he wants to do it haha 😀 Well, you’ll see that later..

For now, Happy Valentines day! And, if you don’t have a Valentine or he is busy or somewhere else, why not read these blogposts I wrote earlier? 🙂

Visiting the Grazia Editorial Office

13-02-’14

magazines redactie editorial office grazia

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to the office from Sanoma again for the sixth day of my course in Fashion Journalism! Only three more days, including today, to go… Wow. It’s awesome how much I have already learned but it’s kinda sad to know that I am getting near the end of the course.. I will for sure enjoy the next three course days to the fullest but for now I want to tell you a bit more about last weeks course.

Since the course of Fashion Journalism is an initiative from Fontys and Grazia we got the opportunity to see the Editorial Office from the Dutch Grazia. Super awesome of course! We saw some very cool stuff, like the editorial wall where the spreads for the upcoming issues are being shown, this is top secret so I won’t tell you any details ;). Some of the editors told us a bit more about the wall and also something about how everything goes behind the scenes at Grazia. For example when big news is announced in celeb land just two days before publishing, it still needs to be in the magazine. Deadlines!! It’s so inspiring to know more about all the work that goes into the weekly magazine and I think it’s just amazing how hard everyone has to work. Thumbs up for that Grazia 🙂

Besides seeing the Editorial Office we also spoke with a freelance stylists who was very busy with a shoot for an upcoming issue. She told us a whole lot of information about being a stylist and what she does. Can you imagine, receiving a box with clothes and something goes missing or there is not exactly the right amount of items in the box? Stressful! I don’t think I could handle the sweaty palms and palpitations I would get in those kind of situations haha. Being a stylist is so much more than dressing a model. It is a huge brainstorm session where you try to convert your idea to the best editorial shoot possible.

Last week at the Fashion Journalism course was very cool and inspiring, as you can probably tell. I loved the peek around the corner and I also loved it to see all those people working their butts of for something they are deeply passionate about. I might need some more inspiration and encouragement, but I am starting to think there might be a career in fashion for me. Have a lovely day everyone!

Ciao, Saranda
