fashion style inspiration trends pastel embellishments skater skirts cold shoulder mode moda

Hi there lovely followers,

Today I would like to show you a bit of my current fashion inspirations (or should I say obsessions haha). I am still in love with pastels and black and white is more and more getting in my wardrobe as a nice, easy to match, base for my outfits. Besides that I have much more things I really adore right now. For example skater skirts! I have bought a couple of very cool skater skirts at the moment and I am very very happy with the purchase hihi. Soon you will see them in an outfit of course 🙂

What I like about skater skirts is the way you can twist them, like the girl in the lower right corner. It makes me feel super girly and feminine and it makes me very happy at the same time. Just what I like ^^

My other inspirations lately is the cold shoulder trend. When I was younger this was also pretty trendy, I still remember how I wore this stuff back then. Now that this trend is hot again I know how to style it my way and how to make it accentuate me in a good way.

Last but not least I am still into embellished items! Embellishments can make a simple top into a statement piece and it can make a basic outfit very glamorous. Love it <3

What is your favorite look from the ones above?

Ciao!!

Trend report: Spring Kimono’s

Spring 2014 trends Kimono asian cardigan styling trends fashion inspiration flower print fringes

Hi lovely followers,

Happy Sunday! When I went shopping with Britt last week before shooting and the IAFBC I spotted some gorgeous Kimono’s and I actually bought one (the inner Kimono in the upper right corner ;)).

The pictures I made with this gorgeous new item came out great! You will see the result soon, I promise ^^ But I noticed their are a lot of Kimono like cardigans in stores right now. 2014’s spring season is all about pastels, flower prints, asian prints and also fringes are hot again.

I really love the Kimono print, it just fits really well with the other trends and it is a very wearable trend. Kimono’s are chic but are very comfortable too. Besides that you can style a kimono like one of the examples above in a lot of different ways. On a skinny jeans, on a tight pantalon, on a slim midi or maxi skirt (in case of a somewhat shorter kimono).

So if you like these kimonos, don’t hesitate to buy one. I can assure you, you will be very happy with your purchase since you can style it in many many ways!

Trend report: A little bit of flare

Trend: A little bit of flare
Hi there lovely followers,
How has your weekend been? Mine has been super relaxed. I went to a part of Hollland with a lot of nature and old farms with family. It was just so nice to not be busy with social media, internet (although I was said the wifi did not work yesterday evening haha) and work.
Today I want to share a trend report from a trend I started noticing when I was shopping last week. Wide sleeves, flared jeans, wide wavy skirts, flared clothing is HOT! Luckily it does not only give me a seventies / hippies feeling, flared clothes also have a elegant touch to it. Personally I am not yet convinced, I do like the tops but the flared jeans, I just don’t know. But I would definitely like to try this trend and explore my options since this trend is just wearable by almost everybody. For example: a flared jeans or pantalon accentuates your waistline and it actually makes you look taller. Style a flared jeans with a chic blouse or pretty top. The other way around you could style a top with wide sleeves with a chic skinny jeans. Voila!
In the collage above you can see some of my favorite flared items, you definitely should have these items in your closet if you ask me ;).
Ciao!!

Trend report: Scuba stuff

Scuba fashion trend spring 2014 H&M ASOS Topshop Forever21 Boohoo mode styling report blog sarandipity

Hi lovely followers,

This Sunday I want to tell you a bit about one of today’s hottest fashion trends, items made from Scuba fabric. Fabric that has a very soft feeling, a bit like a neopreen laptop sleeve, and is mostly used for wetsuits, diving suits and surf clothing. But now, scuba skirts and other scuba items like dresses, tops and jackets are common in high fashion stores like H&M, ASOS and more. In my opinion a very cool fashion trend!

Ever since I saw the first scuba fabric skirt I am dying to try it on and find some cool scuba fabric items for in my closet myself! 🙂
What I like about this trend is that it is use-able in almost all clothing items, as I said earlier most items are skirts but also dresses, tops, jackets and coats from scuba fabric are to be found everywhere. Cool right? This also makes this trend very easy to combine. Wear a scuba skirt like the grey one on the right with a leather jacket, or wear the blue jacket (the musthave item in my opinion) with a simple jeans, high heels, a leather bag and a cool tee! Enough possibilities I guess….

What do you guys think of this trend? Are scuba items HOT or NOT?

Trend: Radiant Orchid report fashion style mode inspiration pantone shopping makeup sarandipity blog

Hi sweet followers!

It is Sunday already so time for a new trend report! Since this years color, according to Pantone, is Radiant Orchid I need to do a trend report on this beautiful color! Fashion wise this color is just gorgeous and I think we’ll definitely see it a lot in stores and on the runway as well! Radiant Orchid comes in different shades, from a sort of darker lila to a deep red-ish purple.  In the Polyvore collage above you can see some items but you also see two very beautiful looks with Radiant Orchid items… I for sure would immediatly buy that faux fur coat or that lovely hippy style dress!

Personally I really think this color is just gorgeous! Radiant Orchid is easy to match with black, white, grey or brown. I also think it would look lovely as well with a denim fabric. Well if someone could now tell me wear to get that faux fur coat and that hippy dress?! 😉

What do you guys think of this years color, HOT or NOT? And how would you style it? 🙂

Have a lovely Sunday everyone!
