Hi there loves,
How was your weekend? Mine was good, the weather was surprisingly hot for here in the Netherlands and I got to enjoy a natural swimming pool close to home 🙂 I can’t even imagine the fact that last weekend I actually wore the outfit above to a private boat trip with two other blogging ladies.
It was going to be a day with chances of sunshine and chances of rain. Prepared for everything – I am used to this changeable weather – I hopped on a train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam where I was going to meet Danielle and Ellen for our boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl! We met at Hannekes Boom, a colourful lounge / cafe which was clearly a good hotspot, from where we would sail away 😉
There we also met Sander, our skipper and Bootuitjes host for the day. He had arranged a cute little barge boat with big lounge pillows and he also made sure we had enough to eat and drink. As soon as we all sat down in the boat it was time to discover Amsterdam from the water.

I am now also on youtube! Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel 🙂
The little barge boat Bootuitjes arranged for us, don’t you think it looks cute?!
Yummm, Italian food always makes me happy, good call Bootuitjes!
Amsterdam from the water, on the first photo you see one of the oldest bridges of Amsterdam. This photo is made by Danielle.
The Amstel river
Strand Zuid, this hotspot is a sort of beach club behind the Amsterdam RAI.
How cool is this though?? I even got to take over the wheel for a couple of minutes – of course this was the perfect moment for a photo!
By the way, what do you think of my look?
In Amsterdam it’s very normal to go for a boat trip when the weather lets you . These folks decided to bring their Unicorn floaty along with them 😀
An old shipyard which is partially still used and also features a museum.
Almost back from our boat trip with Bootuitjes.nl, Sander our skipper told us a lot of things about the buildings, bridges and other places we saw from the boat which is always very interesting. The weather was pretty good even though we had a couple of rainy moments.
What I absolutely loved about our boat trip was that there are a lot of options with this company. It’s so different than the standard tourist boat routes, who basically only sail through the main canals.
Also there are a lot of possibilities to personalise your route as you book a whole boat for you and your group! So no tourists if you are a Dutchie wanting to see Amsterdam from the water and as for the tourists reading this; no people you don’t know in your pictures! 😉
We had the borrelboot arrangement but depending on your wishes there are a lot of other possibilities as well. You can find all the different arrangements from Bootuitjes.nl on their website!
To end the day we decided to enjoy the sun for a little bit on the rooftop terrace from the Double Tree Hilton hotel. But before we could go there we saw this cute swing from a tree. So yeah, us bloggers had to take some pictures before leaving 🙂
I had a great day together with the lovely Ellen & Danielle and it was so much fun to experience this boat trip by Bootuitjes together! I’d definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to do a boat trip in Amsterdam!
